Boldaloin is a drug used in patients who have digestive problems. Its composition includes valuable aloe vera that supports the functioning of the digestive system. How does Boldaloin work? We check if there are any side effects during its dosage.
Boldaloin – action
Boldaloin is used in cases of biliary motor disorders. For this reason, patients take the drug to regulate the digestive system. Thanks to Boldaloin, more bile and gastric juices are secreted. The drug also regulates the frequency of bowel movements. It also helps to deal with symptoms such as flatulence and anorexia. Boldaloin owes its beneficial properties to the Cape Alonie – the name is a term for concentrated aloe juice.
Boldaloin – composition
Pose the active substance of Boldaloin, which is the Cape Alona, the drugs include:
- sucrose;
- potato starch;
- glycerol;
- talk;
- acacia gum;
- Purified Water;
- magnesium stearate.
Boldaloin – dosage
Boldaloin tablets are intended for oral use. They can be dosed in two ways:
- as a choleretic agent – one tablet 3 times a day;
- as a mild defecation regulator – 3 tablets once before going to bed.
Adolescents over 12 years of age, as well as the elderly, can take Boldalin twice a day, one tablet, using it as a choleretic agent.
Boldaloin – contraindications
The main contraindication to the use of Boldaloin is hypersensitivity to any substance in the drug. In addition, you must not take tablets in the case of:
- cirrhosis of the liver;
- intestinal atony;
- appendicitis;
- Crohn’s disease;
- kidney failure;
- diarrhea;
- intestinal imbalances;
- gastrointestinal strictures;
- biliary and gastrointestinal obstruction.
Boldaloin – precautions
Boldain should not be used for a long time as it can interfere with intestinal peristalsis. In addition, you cannot take tablets during menstruation. It’s worth watching out for Boldaloin dosage with kidney stones. The drug should not be given to children under 12 years of age. The only exception is the strict recommendations of the doctor. Boldaloin should be stored at a temperature not exceeding 25 degrees. There is sucrose in the drug, so patients who cannot tolerate sugar should be careful when dosing it.
Boldaloin – side effects
The most common side effects when using Boldaloin is a change in the color of the urine. Side effects such as:
- Allergic reaction;
- biliary colic;
- hypokalaemia (too little potassium in the blood).
Boldaloin – drug interactions
Boldaloin may interact with diuretics and adrenocorticosteroids. You should also be careful when taking Boldaloin and anti-arrhythmic drugs together, as well as other laxatives.
