Powders, gels, liquids and creams: choosing a texture

For normal skin, products in the form of cream powder are also addressed – when applied, they look like a cream, but after drying they acquire a delicate powdery texture.
Blush in the form of a cream will help moisturize and even out dry skin. Convenient and means, in texture, reminiscent of an airy soufflé. They do not contain oils, but they do not dry out the skin or clog in the pores.
A very popular product that has garnered rave reviews from users is the water-based blush gel. They provide a vibrant color, but are only suitable for perfectly smooth skin without pronounced pores, blemishes and inflammations. If your face is oily, try the color liquid with a brush. Blush and face shape: the right choice
When choosing cosmetics, consider not only the type of skin, but also the shape of the face. Light and shiny shades will help add volume. This blush is ideal for a triangular look – it will soften angular cheekbones and make the look more feminine. Girls with a pointed chin and protruding cheekbones do not go too dark and matte shades.
Owners of wide square and rectangular faces are more suited to rich, deep tones: dark beige, plum, red-brown. Do not buy bright blush – fuchsia, cyclamen or sunny orange colors will only draw attention to facial imperfections. Dark, restrained tones will make the face slimmer, narrow the chin and remove too plump cheeks. This blush is also suitable for round faces, apply them under the cheekbones and chin, carefully blending with a soft brush.
For oval faces, a blush of medium saturation with a slight sheen goes. Try the pink palette, perfect for light daytime makeup. In the evening, pink-lilac or soft coral tones with golden shimmer will be appropriate.
For everyday makeup, choose a blush that matches your cheeks after intense exercise. For warm golden skin, choose a blush in an orange-scarlet and beige tones, pink, purple and pure red tones are suitable for a cold color type. The brightness of the color depends on the color of the skin. Swarthy girls should try shades of mango, cinnamon, nutmeg, rich peach and bright orange. Light coral or delicate pink colors are suitable for whites.
If you want to refresh your face, choose translucent shades with a slight shine, they look natural and visually rejuvenate. The dark matte blush is ideal for sculpting. With their help, you can hide the excessive plumpness of the cheeks, emphasize high cheekbones or visually enlarge the eyes. For this purpose, complex tones are suitable – for example, mauve or golden beige. For a more natural look, blend the blush well with a fluffy brush, then apply a thin layer of translucent powder on top.
In the evening, you should use a satin blush with golden sparkles: they add volume to the makeup, and to the color – brightness and liveliness. Avoid overly dark matte options: they will look unnatural in the light of the lamps.
Blush application methods: refresh and adjust
To make the blush fit perfectly, you will need:
- foundation or leveling base
- makeup brushes
- translucent loose powder
- bronzing powder
- highlighter in the form of cream or powder
First, apply a smoothing base or a thin layer of foundation to the skin. Liquid and cream blush is applied under the powder, dry crumbly and pressed – on top of it. For a rested look, apply bronzing powder with a wide brush to your forehead, chin and cheekbones, then freshen up your cheeks with blush.
Makeup artists recommend applying blush to the bulging parts of the cheekbones. To define them, smile, and then touch the fluffy brush with blush on the apples of the cheeks. If you want to emphasize the cheekbones and visually narrow the face, blush can be applied under the cheekbone, but this technique is only suitable for dark shades in beige and brown tones.
Another option for applying blush is layer-by-layer. First, shade the cheeks with a darker matte shade, and on top of it, apply a light and shiny one. This makeup looks very natural, but at the same time expressive. Instead of a light blush, you can use a golden highlighter, which is especially beautiful when paired with matte powder blush.
