Blueberry liqueur: 5 recipes at home

Blueberry liqueurs are rightfully considered one of the best. The unique color, taste and aroma will impress any connoisseur of alcohol.

Tips before starting

  1. Blueberries do not have a strong characteristic aroma, like strawberries, for example, and various spices are often added to the drink to have a rich smell.

  2. For the preparation of liqueurs, you can use fresh, frozen and even dried berries.

  3. In order for the color of the liquor to have a deep shade, it is better to take fully ripened blueberries.

  4. As an alcohol base, you can use vodka, high-quality moonshine or food alcohol.

Blueberry mint liqueur

Ingredients

  1. Blueberries – 1 kg

  2. Granulated sugar – 750 g

  3. Vodka – 750 ml

  4. Lemon or orange zest – 20 g

  5. Mint – 2 sprigs

Method of preparation

  1. Blueberries must be thoroughly washed, get rid of spoiled berries and small debris.

  2. We transfer the prepared berry to a glass container and add mint leaves and grated or finely chopped lemon zest to it.

  3. Then add granulated sugar, mix thoroughly and infuse in a dark place at room temperature for 2 months.

  4. During this time, the blueberries will release the juice, and after the specified time, it must be filtered, and the berries squeezed through cheesecloth.

  5. The resulting juice is mixed with an alcohol base and passed through a purchased or home-made filter.

  6. Pour into glass bottles and insist in a cool dark place for at least one week before tasting.

  7. It is best to store ready-made blueberry liqueur in the refrigerator or cellar.

Classic blueberry liqueur (option 1)

Ingredients

  1. Blueberries – 650 g

  2. Granulated sugar – 1 kg

  3. Water – 1 L

  4. Food alcohol – 650 ml

Method of preparation

  1. We repeat point 1 from the first recipe.

  2. Pour blueberries into a glass container and fill with food alcohol.

  3. Now we insist 5 weeks in a sunny place.

  4. As soon as the specified time has passed, we pass the tincture through the filter.

  5. Cook simple sugar syrup.

  6. Mix the cooled sugar syrup with blueberry tincture and pass through the filter again.

  7. Now pour into glass bottles and store in a cool dark place.

Classic blueberry liqueur (option 2)

Ingredients

  1. Blueberries – 2 kg

  2. Granulated sugar – 1 kg

  3. Water – 1 L

  4. Vodka – 1l

Method of preparation

  1. We repeat point 1 from the first recipe.

  2. Pour the prepared blueberries into a glass jar, fill it with vodka and put it in a sunny place for 4 days.

  3. After 4 days, filter the blueberry tincture through a sieve.

  4. We cook the classic sugar syrup, add the alcoholized berries and boil for another 10 minutes.

  5. After the syrup has cooled, mash the blueberries into a puree and then filter the blueberry sugar syrup through a fine sieve or gauze.

  6. Now we combine blueberry syrup with tincture and leave to stabilize the taste for 7 days in a cool place.

  7. After the specified time, we pass the finished drink through the filter and pour it into glass bottles.

  8. Store blueberry liqueur in a cool, dark place.

Spiced blueberry liqueur

Ingredients

  1. Blueberries – 1 kg

  2. Granulated sugar – 400 g

  3. Vodka – 1 l

  4. Carnation – 5 buds

  5. Vanilla sugar – 5 g

Method of preparation

  1. We repeat point 1 from the first recipe.

  2. Thoroughly mash clean blueberries with a wooden spatula.

  3. We transfer the prepared berry to a glass container, add vanilla sugar, cloves and fill it with an alcohol base.

  4. Now we insist blueberry tincture for 6 weeks.

  5. After the specified time, filter the tincture through the filter and mix it with sugar.

  6. Then every day we shake the contents of the container for one week until the granulated sugar is completely dissolved.

  7. As soon as the liquor is without sediment in the form of sugar, we pour it into glass bottles, and you can safely start tasting.

  8. Store ready-made blueberry liqueur preferably in a cool, dark place.

Fragrant blueberry liqueur with wild strawberries

Ingredients

  1. Blueberries – 2 kg

  2. Strawberries – 300 g

  3. Granulated sugar – 800 g

  4. Water – 500 ml

  5. Vodka – 1,3 l

Method of preparation

  1. We wash blueberries and strawberries well in cool water, remove spoiled and moldy berries.

  2. We shift the berries into a glass container and fill them with an alcohol base.

  3. Then we insist the berries on vodka in a sunny place for 6 weeks.

  4. As soon as the specified time has passed, we filter the blueberry-strawberry tincture.

  5. Cook classic sugar syrup.

  6. After the syrup has cooled to room temperature, combine it with the tincture and mix vigorously.

  7. Now you need to give time (1 month) for the liquor to mature.

  8. After waiting for the deadline, we pass the drink through a filter (purchased or home-made) and pour it into glass bottles.

  9. Store ready-made blueberry liqueur with strawberries in a cool place.
