Assemblage is appropriate for provided that the blending of wine materials takes place within one vintage and one vineyard/region in order to obtain the original taste and aroma.
This means that the concept of “assemblage” is applied to higher quality wines of the AOC, DOC, DO level.

In this case, as a rule, a third term is used – cuvé (cuvee), meaning that the result is also achieved by mixing different wine materials.
What to say on whiskey?
Unlike in Russia, in the “elite” societies of other countries, the term “blend” is not used at all.
Over the hill, the English word blended (blended) or blended whiskey (blended whiskey) is more common, which indicates a mixture of grain and malt spirits in a bottle. Alcohols are often from different distilleries.
