However, the results of research conducted at the Center for Environment and Health in Belgium show that children do not need to be near the bleach for me to harm them – it is enough that the remedy is used at home.
The study was conducted in the form of a questionnaire conducted among parents of children aged 9 and 10. In addition to questions about the frequency of use of bleach in the home, there were also issues that were supposed to exclude the influence of additional environmental factors on the result of the study. People were asked about addictions, diet, lifestyle, social status and education.
They found that in homes where bleach was used at least once a week, children were much more susceptible to respiratory infections. As much as 20 percent were observed. an increase in the risk of catching the flu and 35 percent. increase in the likelihood of angina.
At the moment, scientists are focusing on planning a new test to determine how much household bleach is safe for children.
