Recipe for blackberry syrup without water

Ingredients

  1. Blackberries – 1 kg

  2. Sugar – 1 kg

Method of preparation

  1. Put the blackberries in a saucepan and set the heat to medium on the stove.

  2. Sprinkle the berries with sugar, but do not stir. Let the heat work on the blackberries for a bit before stirring gently (about 5 minutes).

  3. Next, stir the mixture every five minutes to prevent a fire at the bottom of the pan.

  4. Allow the blackberries to melt slowly with the sugar, this process may take approximately 15-20 minutes.

  5. Turn off the stove and mash the berries well.

  6. Pass the resulting mixture through a sieve into another bowl until the syrup stops flowing. Important! Once the berries are in the sieve, don’t mash them or you’ll end up with a cloudy syrup. The process can take up to an hour.

  7. Pour the finished syrup into jars, close and store in the refrigerator.

Recipe for blackberry syrup with water

Ingredients

  1. Blackberries – 1 kg

  2. Sugar – 1 kg

  3. Water – 1 glass

  4. Citric acid – 1 tsp.

Method of preparation

  1. Blackberries are not washed before cooking. You just need to sort them out, remove twigs and leaves.

  2. Sprinkle blackberries with sugar, pour in water and stir with a wooden spoon. It is necessary that the berries release juice, so they do not burn.

  3. Bring the blackberries to a boil, then reduce the heat to a minimum and remove after 10 minutes.

  4. To make the syrup pitted, it must be filtered through a sieve.

  5. After straining, the syrup should be boiled again, add citric acid, and then pour into clean, dry bottles.

  6. With this ratio of berries, citric acid and sugar, the syrup can be stored at room temperature for about 6 months without any problems.
