Black dye for fabric, black items

Sometimes you want to update the color of your clothes or paint over spots on your favorite thing. The easiest way is to use a black dye – it quickly dyes items made of wool, viscose, cotton fabric. If done correctly, the color will be uniform and long-lasting.

What can be used for coloring

To give the product a rich black color or slightly refresh a dark thing, you can use professional or folk remedies.

Black dye will help bring things back to their original appearance.

How can I paint a thing black:

  • aniline dyes are a professional product that penetrates deep into the fibers without disturbing their structure. Ideal for silk, denim. Such paints can be used for manual dyeing or the dye composition can be placed in the drum of the washing machine;
  • acrylic and polymer black dye for fabric does not penetrate deeply, but only envelops the fibers from above. After staining, the thing will become tough. For thinning, special mixtures should be used, since water reduces the ability of the paint to adhere to the fibers;
  • hair dyes – the result may be unexpected, it is better to experiment on old things. You need to soak for at least 2 hours, add vinegar and salt to the rinse water;
  • coffee helps to make the black color richer. You need to use a strong and strained drink, apply it evenly to the product and leave it to dry completely;
  • Tobacco is not suitable for dyeing fabrics, but it will help freshen up your favorite black item. In 1,5 liters of boiling water, you need to dissolve 25 g of crushed tobacco leaves, bring the mixture to a boil, cool. Thoroughly process the fabric with the solution.

For synthetic fabrics, only special dyes should be used, since such material does not absorb them well, fading a lot.

The staining process consists of several stages. If you follow all the rules, you can get a rich black color.

Stages of the procedure.

  1. Dilute the dye for black clothes in a small ceramic container with warm water until it becomes a thick paste.
  2. Pour the paste with water at the rate of 500 ml per 1 sachet of the coloring composition.
  3. Pour the mixture into a spacious basin, add water, the temperature of which is 40-50 degrees.
  4. Place the product in the solution, boil for a quarter of an hour, take out the thing.
  5. Prepare a saline solution at the rate of 25 g of salt per 1,5 l of water, add to the coloring composition, lower the product.
  6. Leave the fabric in a low-boiling dye composition for about 35 minutes.
  7. Then remove the coloring composition from the heat, leave the fabric in it for another half hour.

After staining, the water must completely drain from the product, then it must be rinsed several times in warm and cold water with the addition of vinegar.

You can paint things yourself, but if you want to get the perfect coloring, it is better to give the product into the hands of a professional.
