Biotebal is a vitamin drug whose task is to strengthen the hair and nails. It is recommended to use Biotebal to replenish the deficiencies of biotin, which is the main ingredient of the drug. Biotin is important for the health of hair and nails as it positively influences the process of keratin formation.

Biotebal is a drug with a very convenient dosage, because it is enough to take one tablet each day. The package is enough for 1 month of treatment. Biotebal is recommended for people with biotin deficiency, which is manifested by excessive hair loss or weakening of nails.

Biotebal – ingredients

The active substance of Biotebal is biotin with the effect confirmed in clinical trials. One tablet of the drug contains 5 mg of this substance. In addition, Biotebal also contains sorbitol (E 420), magnesium stearate and colloidal silica.

Biotebal packaging contains white flat tablets with a smooth surface. The package contains 30 or 60 tablets depending on its size.

Biotebal – indications

Biotebal belongs to the group of vitamin preparations. Its main ingredient is water-soluble biotin, which is one of the B vitamins.

Biotebal is recommended in the case of biotin deficiency. It is biotin that plays an important role in the good condition of the skin, hair and nails. When biotin deficiency occurs in the body, inflammation of the skin around the mouth, nose and eyes, as well as conjunctivitis appear. Biotin deficiency weakens the condition of hair and nails, which become brittle and brittle. In addition, biotin deficiency also causes disorders of fat metabolism.

Biotebal – action

Biotebal is used to support the production of keratin and the differentiation of skin cells, hair and nails, thanks to which their condition improves over time.

Biotebal – contraindications

Biotebal is not recommended for people with hypersensitivity to biotin or another drug ingredient. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Biotebal.

Taking into account the properties of biotin, as well as the nature of the identified side effects, the drug has no influence on driving and using machines. People intolerant to certain sugars should also remember that Biotebal contains sorbitol (E420). These people should consult their doctor before taking the drug.

It is worth noting that taking preparations with biotin falsifies the results of the level of thyroid hormones. It does not affect the actual level but generates a laboratory error.

Biotebal – application

Biotebal should be used in doses of 5 mg, i.e. one tablet a day. The drug should be used regularly in order to obtain long-lasting effects. Currently, there are no studies on biotin overdose, however, exceeding the suggested one is not recommended the daily dose of Biotebal. If one dose of the drug is missed, the manufacturer advises against using it double dose of biotin. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

The manufacturer does not provide the recommended length of Biotebal therapy. The duration of use of the drug is due to the underlying disease of the individual, therefore there are no general recommendations regarding the duration of use. Biotebal – interactions

In the case of Biotebal, as with other drugs, before starting use, inform the doctor or pharmacist about the drugs you are taking, including those that are available without a prescription.

To slow down absorption of biotin consumption of raw hen’s egg proteins may also be affected, so they are not recommended while taking the medicine.

Alcohol and anticonvulsants such as phenytoin, carbamazepine, primidone and phenobarbital have the effect of reducing blood biotin levels. In turn, in people taking steroid hormones, it has been found that they can accelerate the breakdown of biotin in the body’s tissues.

Biotebal – pregnancy and breastfeeding

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medications while pregnant or breastfeeding. In the case of pregnant women, Biotebal should not be used, because the dose of biotin in the drug is much higher than the recommended daily intake for pregnant women.

The situation is similar in the case of breastfeeding women. Biotin dose in Biotebal far exceeds the recommended dose for breastfeeding women. Note that biotin is excreted in breast milk, however no effects on the infant consumed by the milk have been reported. Despite this, Biotebal should not be used during breastfeeding.

Biotebal – side effect

Biotebal, like any other drug, may cause side effects. However, it should be remembered that they will not appear for everyone. Isolated cases of urticaria or gastrointestinal disturbances have been reported with Biotebal.

They can also be reported to the Department of Monitoring Undesirable Effects of Medicinal Products of the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products or to another responsible entity. All these activities will make it possible to gather reliable information about the safety of using Biotebal.

Biotebal – storage

Biotebal should be stored at a temperature of up to 30 degrees Celsius, preferably in its original packaging. Take care that the tablets do not come into contact with moisture, therefore always keep the container tightly closed.

Moreover, Biotebal, like all medicines, should be kept away from children, out of their reach and sight. Biotebal should not be used after the expiry date. This date refers to the last day of the month stated on the package. After this time, take the medicine to the nearest pharmacy to protect the environment. Do not dispose of expired drugs via the sewage system.

There is also a desiccant in the container, which should remain there for the duration of the treatment. This measure is not suitable for consumption!
