What is biorevitalization in cosmetology

Biorevitalization is most often an injection technique aimed at combating fine wrinkles, lines of dehydration, age spots, dilated vessels. Preparations based on are injected into the dermis and epidermis hyaluronic acid – this substance plays an important role in maintaining the beauty of the skin, attracting moisture many times its own molecular weight. After the injections, fibroblasts are activated, the amount of collagen increases and the skin looks younger and more elastic.

What is the effect of the procedure

Usually the result is noticeable already on the second day after visiting the beautician. What’s happening?

Types of biorevitalization of facial skin

All of the above applies to injection biorevitalization. But there is also non-injection, or needleless, a type of procedure, when the composition with hyaluronic acid is not injected under the skin, but is gently driven in using the nozzle of a special apparatus. Manipulation is considered more gentle and less painful. This is another step towards reducing the invasiveness in cosmetology.

Features of injection biorevitalization

Having seated you in a chair, the doctor will first ask you to frown properly, and then laugh heartily: facial expressions will clearly demonstrate where new wrinkles are laid and how existing wrinkles behave. Based on this, the doctor will choose the drugs and the regimen of administration.
Today, cosmetologists have at their disposal about 20 different preparations with hyaluronic acid. Some act very gently and give the most natural, but short-lived result. There are more concentrated, with a prolonged effect. The choice of drug depends on the initial condition of the skin and on how often you can go to the beautician. Some concentrates need to be administered in courses once a week, others once a year. Sometimes, for example, in order to save you from an interbrow wrinkle, instead of 5-6 biorevitalization courses, cosmetologists offer a single injection of a filler with the same hyaluronic acid. In the filler, it is more “dense” and the concentration is higher – 25 mg versus the usual 10-15 mg. This proposal makes sense: less hassle and pain, plus cost savings.

Having picked up the drug, the beautician will lay you on the couch, cover you with a sheet, thoroughly cleanse your face and apply an anesthetic (painkiller). Some doctors believe that anesthesia is not needed, because it can play a cruel joke – cause puffiness, slightly distort facial features and, as a result, deceive the doctor, who risks exceeding the dosage. Be sure to talk to your doctor about this point before starting the procedure.

Next – the actual biorevitalization. 40-50 injections are unpleasant and rather painful. In delicate areas (for example, around the eyes), the doctor will gently stretch and press the skin so that the pain is not so noticeable. Immediately after the procedure, bumps appear at the injection sites – papules. And you will most likely have to go home, hiding under a scarf and dark glasses. Usually papules disappear in a day, but sometimes they last for several days. If the doctor accidentally gets the needle into the vessel, bruising may appear on the skin.

Features of non-injection biorevitalization

After mechanical and ultrasonic cleaning, the cosmetologist applies a preparation with hyaluronic acid, which is driven into the skin with the help of a special apparatus. As a result, it is saturated with moisture – however, due to surface exposure, the effect is not as noticeable as after injections. How many procedures will have to be done, again depends on the condition of the skin. On average, 5-7 sessions will be required with a break for a week.

If you combine a course of biorevitalization with a course of laser rejuvenation, the effectiveness of the procedures increases. Interestingly, if you are actively involved in sports, drink a lot of water, go to the sauna, often travel by plane, hyaluronic acid is absorbed faster and the effect lasts less.

Care after a cosmetic procedure

No special care after biorevitalization is required. Preferably only:

  • do not sleep with your face in the pillow;

  • Avoid direct sunlight for 1-2 days (it’s generally good to avoid them, remember?);

  • 5-7 days do not use scrub and other aggressive skin cleansing products.

The first time after the procedure, you can only sleep on your side.
