The vast majority of diets are based on the exclusion of fats from our menu. The flax diet is unique because it allows you to fight fat with fat. Linseed oil is one of the richest sources of unsaturated fatty acids, the so-called EFAs that are responsible for the proper functioning of the body. By choosing a fat-free diet, we give up products that are necessary to maintain health. The flax diet allows us to reconcile these two elements.

Flax is mainly known for its rich content of omega-3 fatty acids, which have a positive effect on the work of the brain and heart. As a slimming agent, it is not very popular. However, linen products are recommended because of their satiating properties, reducing appetite and the effect on fat burning. It is worth choosing a diet that will allow us to keep the body in good shape and at the same time help in losing excess kilograms.

What does the flax diet give you?First of all, she loses weight. It also has an anti-inflammatory effect, improves beauty and satisfies effectively. The basis of this diet is a paste made of cottage cheese and linseed oil. It should be eaten for breakfast, dinner and as a snack when we get hungry.

In the diet you can eat:

  • sea ​​fish such as mackerel, cod, herring and tuna – the daily portion can be up to 200 g
  • fresh fruit
  • freshly squeezed juices
  • vegetables. Primarily broccoli, cabbage, Brussels sprouts and carrots
  • protein: kefir, natural yoghurt, buttermilk, cottage cheese
  • cereals: wholemeal bread and unrefined cereals
  • water; at least 2 liters a day
  • poultry from natural crops
  • honey

This is not allowed!

  • sugar, juices from cartons, artificial sweeteners
  • fats, with the exception of cold-pressed linseed oil, which should only be eaten raw

The diet should last two to three weeks. Its effective use allows you to lose up to 2 kilograms in a week. If we want to use it regularly, there are no contraindications. It can be repeated several times a year.

Cottage cheese and linseed oil paste – how to make it?The paste is a mixture of linseed oil and cottage cheese. In this form, linseed oil is tastier and, above all, healthy. It should be remembered that when consumed in large quantities, it does not bring any effects on its own, and may even be harmful. For 5 minutes, mix 6-8 tablespoons of linseed oil with 12.5 dkg (about half a cube) of lean white cottage cheese. You can add a small cup of natural yoghurt (0% fat, no added fruit), buttermilk or kefir to the paste to get the right consistency. While mixing, add a pinch of Cayenne pepper and a teaspoon of natural honey (not heated). The paste prepared in this way can be stored for 24 hours in the refrigerator. The paste can be seasoned according to your needs and taste: sweet, spicy or with herbs. The paste should be eaten in the morning with muesli, cereals, a tablespoon of ground linseed and grated apple. To diversify the taste, we can mix the paste with a banana and a sweet apple, thanks to which we have a filling breakfast.
