Plates the size of an airfield with a tiny slice of dessert on it is a phenomenon we have long been accustomed to. But there are also restaurants that are ready to surprise visitors with unusual ways of serving food. For example, meringues can be served on an air cushion. Cool? The cake seems to float above the table.
“I almost fell asleep: it took the waiter five minutes for the device to lift the pillow into the air,” complained a client who did not appreciate the creativity.
Or here’s another – dessert was served on an iPad, on the screen of which an image of a plate is displayed. This is pure show off for the sake of show off, as it seems to us. In addition, it is not known how such “dishes” are washed in a restaurant: it is unlikely, after all, in hot water and soap, as it should be.
A movement called “We want plates” was even born on the Internet. People often complained that they were served food on cutting boards (curry, for example – it is generally liquid), on pieces of wood, fragments of tiles, grilled chicken can be brought sitting in a sun lounger, and ravioli – hanging from a rope with clothespins. And for someone, they put the cheese foam on the back of the hand and offered to lick it.
“This is a carnival of idiocy. One day they brought me a piece of pie on a tennis racket, ”writes one of the over-inventive restaurant designers.
Bread in some kind of fur purse, sweets in a container that looks more like a hospital duck, soup in a jam jar, the neck of which is too small to scoop soup, raspberry sorbet on a twig stuck in a stone with a hole … Maybe a way of serving dishes were invented by creatures from another planet?
