PSYchology

If a girl once unsuccessfully fell off a bicycle, was very frightened, and even more so, adults “added” to her, now she bypasses the bicycle a mile away … Can she still learn to ride a bicycle with such a background? Yes, you can.

We take a bicycle with a low frame, set the saddle so that at any moment you can lower your legs to the ground and stand up, rising above it. After that, a person sits on the saddle and pushes off with his foot (or immediately rolls on a platform with a small slide, controlling the movement with the brakes on the steering wheel). He drives a meter and a half, again rests his feet on the ground. Losing balance and falling with this method is no more likely than when walking on foot. After some time, a person discovers that he can already drive not one and a half meters, but 3-5-7 meters without “filling up”. Then it turns out that, having sat down at the beginning of the hill, he is quite capable of driving 100 meters to its end. The next step is to start pedaling during this process (not to speed up the bike, but just to build momentum). If it’s difficult, you can first pedal on a bike rigidly fixed to the stand. Then it connects. Etc. etc….

After a month or two of regular practice, a person will have hundreds of small successes and learn to ride more or less decently.

If this does not help, and when you touch the bike, the person turns gray and begins to tremble, then all the same — definitely go to a specialist, where in fact quite simple things await him, first of all, the desensitization method.
