Biathlon for children: section, give the child from how old
Running fast and shooting accurately are the only skills needed in the popular sport, but combining them takes a lot of effort. Biathlon is actually a struggle on the brink of human capabilities. International competitions gather millions of TV viewers, and biathlon for children is no less interesting than for adults.
How old are boys and girls taken to biathlon?
Some guys come to biathlon to improve their health and get a charge of positive emotions, others – for victories. You can send a child to this sport at primary school age, from 9 or 10 years old. But not only the desire to become famous leads the guys to biathlon. Target shooting and skiing are much more exciting than computer games.
It is good if the child, before coming to the biathlon section, has experience in marksmanship in a shooting range and owns skis. Parents can put the baby on skis from 2-3 years old.
Both boys and girls are taken to the biathlon. The approach to girls is always individual, the training program is a little easier. Boys and girls also go to competitions separately.
If the child enters the Olympic reserve school, classes for him will be free. Biathlon is a promising sport and young athletes can learn from the masters at the expense of the state.
The task of the coach is, first of all, to develop children physically. Each lesson begins with a warm-up skiing. And it ends with a workout in the gym, stretching exercises, the development of strength and flexibility.
In biathlon, there are several types of competitions with their own rules and characteristics, they are united by the need for accurate target shooting. If the athlete misses, he will ski extra time or complete extra laps.
Children master the shooting technique in the shooting range. They learn how to properly load a gun, take it to the ready, aim correctly and pull the trigger in time. In competitions, they shoot while standing or lying down. Sports skills in marksmanship have been developing for several years. The coach teaches you to stand and lie correctly while shooting, everything is important here – head tilt, position of arms and legs. All movements are brought to automatism. The rifle is given out free of charge, and later for the competition you can buy a suitable weapon on an individual order.
A lot depends on the parents, if they support the children, they try to show the best results. Becoming Olympic champions and winning medals is a dream that helps children overcome all difficulties.
