This story was told to me by a neighbor over a cup of tea. It’s about her grandmother Anna. She was a rare beauty with luxurious long hair, large blue eyes and a slender, chiseled figure. The girl had many fans, among whom was the future grandfather of my neighbor, Mikhail.
But the heart of the village beauty was given to a guy from a neighboring village – Sergei. He loved her madly, loaded her with flowers and gifts. For her sake, he was ready for anything. After the army, the young wanted to get married.
The guy, except for his beloved, did not notice anyone around. And therefore I did not even know that the best friend of his beloved, Daria, was drying on him.
In due time, Sergei was drafted into the army. At the station, Anya burst into tears and vowed to wait for him faithfully. And he wrote her long letters with declarations of love almost every day. The girl knew each letter by heart.
All she didn’t know was that Dasha followed Sergei to a military unit and got a job there as a nurse. After some time, Anya met Dasha’s mother, who showed her a letter to her daughter, which said that she had married Seryozha.
The ground slipped from under my feet, my heart was pounding with pain and resentment. It seemed that it was someone’s evil joke or a dream, it just cannot be! Anna was grieved by the double betrayal, but life goes on.
After a while, Anya married Mikhail – the one who was destined to become the grandfather of my neighbor. And a month after the wedding, Seryozha sent her an angry letter, in which he accused her of everything that a young and beautiful girl could be accused of.

As it turned out in the end, Daria set everything up on purpose, wanting to get Sergei. She sent home a letter in which she lied about her wedding, knowing full well that this news would definitely reach Anya. The ex-girlfriend’s insidious plan was a success, but the result was not what the lovemaker expected to see.
Serega’s friend later said that after learning about the wedding of his beloved, he tried several times to commit suicide. Anya roared day and night, rushed to Sergei, but it was too late – she was already pregnant with Mikhail …
