How to choose a mosquito repellent

What could be better than spending a weekend in nature. Yes, only in a temperate climate in the forest or in the country you can’t rest calmly – mosquitoes bite. The only salvation is to treat the skin and clothes with repellent – a special means of protection. But there are a lot of them, but which one is better in 2022?

How to choose a mosquito repellent

The choice of mosquito repellent primarily depends on where and for how long you are going.

If you are on a long hike, a long walk or are going to have a picnic in nature for the whole day, then it is better to use aerosols with a maximum duration. It is convenient – it is enough to be processed at home and the effect will last up to 8 hours.

If a short walk or short work in the garden is planned, funds with a short validity period are sufficient. They are cheaper and not as harmful because they have less active ingredient. And DEET is not that safe.

And another important point: you need to apply aerosols correctly. Not like we used to – go outside and splash yourself from head to toe. By no means should this be done! All aerosols are dangerous if they get into the eyes and mucous membranes!

If the aerosol is applied to the skin, then first you need to spray it on the palm of your hand, and then rub it into the body.

If on clothes – it must be hung on a hanger, taken out into the open air and carefully processed to a slightly damp state. Then let it dry and then put it on. And it is better not on a naked body, but over linen.
