Top 10 rating according to KP

1. LG 32LJ500V

The 32-inch TV model was introduced in 2017, but has remained a fairly interesting offering ever since. Firstly, the budget TV has a very good FullHD-matrix, with good color reproduction. Secondly, the TV out of the box supports the DVB-T2 terrestrial digital television standard, according to which broadcasting began in Our Country. But it was not without a fly in the ointment, which consists in a small number of ports and the absence of audio jacks, which makes it impossible to connect headphones directly to the LG 32LJ500V.

Good screen, adequate price for functionality
A poor set of interfaces for connections

2. Polarline 40PL52TC-SM

An interesting offer from the company Polarline, which sells Chinese TVs under its own brand. For less than 15 thousand rubles, the buyer receives a 40-inch panel with smart TV support. The display resolution is 1920×1080 and its brightness is 300 cd/m2, which is not bad for a room with dim lighting. Android is responsible for the “smart” component, which has a small 4 GB drive for applications and games. However, the version of the “green robot” is stale here, and due to the weak hardware filling, the TV can slow down.

3. Hyundai H-LED22ET2001

The novelty of the 2019 model year from the Koreans. The TV is simple and resembles the characteristics of a model 5-10 years ago. However, with a diagonal of 22 inches, it has FullHD resolution. In the passive of the screen, you can record its low brightness of 180 cd / m2. There are HDMI and USB connectors, with which the already forgotten “tulip” AV works on the TV.

4. Sony KDL-32WD603

A Japanese TV that creaks into the top budget TVs with its price of 20 thousand rubles. The model is quite old and entered the market three years ago. In the pluses of the TV, you can record a screen made using IPS technology, smart TV with the ability to install additional applications and a small weight of the structure along with a power supply. Sony managed to give the TV a good picture, despite the HD resolution. There were some shortcomings, such as a not very convenient remote control and the lack of the ability to connect a keyboard or mouse.

5. LG 32LK540B

An affordable “ticket” to smart TV from LG. The manufacturer here saved on the screen – at a resolution of 32 inches, the resolution here is 1366 × 768, so it’s better to watch TV at a great distance. Otherwise, the device is interesting – branded webOS as a smart TV, good speakers, full-fledged work on the Internet. However, some users complain about the lack of USB – there is only one port.

6. Xiaomi Mi TV 4A 32

One of the most affordable TVs from the well-known electronics manufacturer from China Xiaomi. This is a 32-inch panel with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and smart TV support. Under the last item, Android is hidden with the MIUI TV OS shell, which means there will be no problems installing third-party applications. Another plus is the branded remote control, sharpened to control the advanced functions of a smart TV. But there are also problems. So, TV does not have Russification and does not support DVB-T2, which means it will not be able to receive a digital signal without a set-top box.

7. Thomson T32RTE1220

The once famous American brand is now owned by the Chinese corporation TCL, one of the largest TV manufacturers in the world. The T32RTE1220 is quite nice in appearance, but with nothing to stand out from the inside. So, the resolution at 32 inches is only HD, and the audio TV gives out a low level. There are two HDMI ports, one USB and a “tulip”. And what else do you need from a TV cheaper than a budget smartphone?

How to choose a budget TV

When buying a new TV “at the bottom of the market”, you want to get the maximum of functions and quality for the minimum money. Unfortunately, this is not always possible, and the choice of a budget TV should be approached even more carefully than more expensive panels.

Price

It is worth mentioning right away what price tag for a new TV in 2022 should be considered budget. For example, in the market you can find models that sell for up to 6 thousand rubles, but such devices have greatly reduced functionality and will bring nothing but disappointment to their buyer. Price tags for full-fledged TVs start in the range of 8-11 thousand rubles. Advanced features, good screens and large diagonals can already be considered in the range of up to 20 thousand rubles. And it is this border that should be considered budgetary.

Display

In the class of budget TVs, three diagonal displays are common – 21, 32 and 40 inches. You can try to find a 50-inch TV, but this is more of an exception. There are two screen resolutions – 1366 × 768 and 1920 × 1080, moreover, the first resolution is more common. Of course, in 2022, HD on the big screen looks outdated, but at a distance of three meters it is bearable. Of course, in budget TVs you should not count on any matrices, in addition to LCD matrices, and of low quality. Therefore, when choosing a TV in the price range up to 20 thousand rubles, you should pay attention to the viewing angle, the absence of flicker and blurring in dynamic scenes.

Smart TV

“Smart” TVs are not common among budget TVs, but if you look, there are such models on the market. However, we would not advise chasing this particular function, and here’s why. The fact is that manufacturers add smart TV support to budget TVs, more like an advertising ploy. Unfortunately, even if you have Android on your TV, this does not mean at all that the applications will be stable, because the processor will necessarily be outdated, there will be little memory, and the “robot” version will be outdated.

Ports and interfaces

In the budget segment, there is a rather paradoxical combination of ports. For example, the practically disappeared “tulip” can still be found on TV for 12 thousand rubles. That is, it will be possible to connect a DVD player to it without adapters (do you still remember about these?) Or a game console from the 90s. On the other side of the scale are advanced models that have Wi-Fi support. But more often than not, you will find few HDMI ports and one USB port. Particularly truncated models do not even have 3,5 mm audio ports.

Installation and fastening

An important characteristic for any TV is how it can be installed. Fixation on a horizontal surface depends on the complete stand, its design and rigidity. If it is flimsy, it may cause the panel to tip over. A TV whose characteristics are declared to be VESA standard, then it can be hung on a vertical ceiling structure that can rotate in two planes. Otherwise, the TV can only be mounted on a plane. By the way, when installing on a vertical plane, you need to consider whether ports will be available for connection. Therefore, a model with a side-mounted interface would be more preferable.
