Bergamot is a plant of the Rutaceae family and the citrus genus. An essential oil with valuable properties is produced from the peel of its fruits, flowers and leaves. It must be used in minimal quantities, since the content of nutrients in one drop is quite high.

Bergamot essential oil contains such unique medicinal substances as linalson, linalyl acetate and limonene and others, which have been used for a long time to treat a wide variety of diseases, including diseases of the nervous system. Bergamot has a beneficial effect not only on the nervous system, but also on the skin system. It has an antiseptic, soothing and regenerating effect. Bergamot oil is good for hair too. With regular use, they become longer, thicker and more beautiful.

Applying bergamot oil to hair

Aroma combing with bergamot essential oil is very useful for hair. To do this, apply 2-3 drops of oil to a comb or massage brush made of natural materials and comb your hair in different directions. Repeat the procedure at least 2-3 times a week.

To prepare a mask for oily hair, you will need:

  • 10 milliliters of almond oil
  • 3 drops of bergamot oil
  • 3 drops of lemon
  • 1 drop of cedarwood oil

Mix the ingredients thoroughly, rub into the scalp with light massage movements, evenly distributing over the entire length of the hair. Wrap your head with plastic and hold for 30-40 minutes. Wash off with plenty of water and shampoo. Perform the procedure at least once a week.

The following mask has an excellent restorative effect for hair: mix 100 milliliters of mineral water, 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice, 1 drop of bergamot oil, 1 drop of clary sage oil, 2 drops of cypress oil, 1 drop of lavender oil and 1 drop of thyme oil. Apply the composition to your hair overnight, rinse in the morning.

This product can be stored in the refrigerator in a glass container for up to a week.

For the beauty and health of your hair, after washing, rinse it with a tonic composition. Make it by diluting 2 ml of apple cider vinegar and 15 drops of bergamot and rosemary oil in 2 liters of mineral or boiled water. This solution has a similar effect: dilute 5 drops of bergamot, lavender and rosemary oils in a glass of water.

After such rinses, do not dry your hair with a hairdryer, but simply wipe it with a towel.

To prepare a mask for weakened and damaged hair, mix equal amounts of olive, burdock and bergamot oil. Apply to hair and keep under a plastic cap for 20-30 minutes. Rinse off with plenty of warm water. Use egg yolk instead of shampoo.
