Bepanthen cream for skin burns. How to use?

Bepanthen cream is used for minor thermal and solar burns of the skin, superficial wounds and abrasions of the epidermis, inflammation of undamaged skin, dry, cracked skin. Prophylactically on skin exposed to drying. The preparation is available at a pharmacy without a prescription.

Bepanthen cream – indications and dosage

Bepanthen cream is recommended for:

  1. slight thermal and solar burns of the skin,
  2. superficial wounds and abrasions of the epidermis,
  3. inflammation of undamaged skin,
  4. dry and chapped skin,
  5. skin exposed to drying out (prophylactically).

Dosage

Apply Bepanthen cream topically to the skin or mucous membranes several times a day.

Bepanthen cream – warnings

  1. If skin reactions occur, discontinue use of Bepanthen cream, consult a physician.
  2. Consultation with a physician is recommended in case of using other medications, susceptibility to allergic reactions and other diseases.
  3. Bepanthen cream can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Before using the preparation, however, you should consult your doctor.
  4. Store the drug at room temperature and out of the reach of small children.

Bepanthen cream with other drugs

There are no known interactions of the drug Bepanthen cream with other preparations.

Bepanthen cream – side effects

During the use of Bepanthen cream, skin reactions may occur:

  1. contact dermatitis,
  2. eczema,
  3. rash,
  4. hives
  5. allergic dermatitis,
  6. itching
  7. erythema,
  8. hypersensitivity,
  9. skin irritation and skin blisters at the application site.
