Bepanthen Baby – composition, action, indications and contraindications to use

Bepanthen Baby is a protective ointment used for the care and protection of babies’ skin against diaper rash. How it works? When is it worth using?

What is the composition and operation of Bepanthen Baby?

Bepanthen Baby contains water (Aqua), lanolin, liquid paraffin, petrolatum, panthenol, beeswax, almond oil, petroleum jelly, glycerin and lanolin alcohol. Bepanthen Baby also contains provitamin B5, which additionally supports the regeneration processes of the epidermis. The ingredients contained in the Bepanthen Baby ointment nourish and regenerate the baby’s skin, primarily supporting and accelerating the regeneration of the epidermis. After application, Bepanthen Baby creates a protective layer on the skin of the baby’s buttocks, which protects the skin against moisture loss, while ensuring its proper breathing (does not block pores). The ointment does not irritate the skin, spreads easily and is just as easy to remove (a moistened wipe is enough for this).

When is Bepanthen Baby used?

Bepanthen Baby is an unparalleled help in caring for the skin of a small baby wearing diapers. It protects against diaper rash and regenerates the skin of the buttocks. Bepanthen Baby can also be used on the nipples. It is also applied to scaly, cracked, dry, irritated and sensitive skin. The ingredients contained in the ointment protect the skin and soothe inflammatory lesions.

Dosage in case of using Bepanthen Baby

It is recommended to use Bepanthen Baby Protective Ointment with every diaper change. The preparation should be spread in a thin layer on the clean skin of the baby’s butt before putting on a new diaper. It is recommended to leave the baby without a diaper from time to time so that the skin can breathe freely. Bepanthen Baby is recommended from the first days of life to the 36th month of a child’s life.

Contraindications to the use of Bepanthen Baby

There are no known contraindications to the use of Bepanthen Baby ointment. Only in the case of the child’s hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the preparation, its use should be limited. The Bepanthen Baby product, however, is basically safe for allergy sufferers.

Possible side effects of Bepanthen Baby

Bepanthen Baby does not contain fragrances, preservatives, artificial colors or antiseptics. Its use is completely safe and has no side effects or side effects. It is safe for allergy sufferers and children with skin lesions, for example atopic dermatitis. Moms who use Bepanthen Baby on nipples have no reason to worry that the preparation will harm their baby – even if it swallows a small amount of it, it should not cause any disturbing symptoms. Of course, the nipples should be washed before feeding the baby, but if a little Bepanthen Baby is left on them, nothing bad will happen.

Additional notes

Bepanthen Baby can also be used by nursing mothers to care for nipples that may become irritated during feeding. The ointment does not contain zinc oxide, thanks to which the skin retains its natural microflora. The special formula of Bepanthen Baby was developed to take care of the delicate skin of babies, so as to protect it from the first days of a child’s life. Bepanthen Baby should be stored at room temperature, below 25 degrees C. Do not use Bepanthen Baby ointment after the expiry date stated on the package.
