Belozor marsh is a poisonous perennial plant. The rhizome of Belozor is short, with fibrous roots. The stems of the plant are straight, ribbed and do not branch. The stems have leaves in a rosette. These leaves are ovate, obtuse, and the base of the leaves is heart-shaped.

The flowers of the plant are white, solitary, the diameter of each flower is 1,5–3 cm. The flowers are on separate peduncles, each flower has an elegant structure. The flower is a cinquefoil with a separate calyx. Each flower has 5 stamens, which alternate with other five stamens (these are modified, imitating drops of nectar on the tops).

The fruit of the marsh belozor is a single-celled box with a large number of seeds, which opens with four wings.

Belozor marsh blooms from July to August, and fruit ripening occurs from August to September.

This plant can be seen in swampy meadows, in a swamp, or in damp ditches.

It is necessary to collect Belozor grass during the flowering period. Dry it outdoors. The ground part of the plant should be collected at the end of summer, and mid-autumn is the best time to dig up the roots of the belozor.

Healing effect and use of the marsh belozor

Scientists with the help of experiments have revealed the following properties of Belozor: soothing, healing wounds, improving urination, vasoconstriction and regulating the activity of the nervous and cardiovascular systems. The use of marsh belozor showed good results in the treatment of inflammation of the small intestine and kidneys.

Preparations prepared from Belozor have a choleretic effect on the body, they kill microbes in the pathways that remove bile from the body.

In Mongolia and Tibet, the marsh belozor is used to treat cancer and ulcers of the gastrointestinal tract.

Recipes for treatment with swamp belozor

For medicinal purposes, decoctions, infusions and tinctures from the leaves, stems, flowers and roots of the marsh belozor are used.

Belozor tincture. To prepare it, you need to take 40–50 grams of Belozor, pour 500 ml of vodka into them and leave to infuse for 2 weeks. But do not forget to shake the composition every day. Ready tincture must be filtered. Take this remedy for headaches, bleeding and strong heartbeat, 20-30 drops daily in the morning and evening. But before taking the tincture, it must be diluted with water.

Infusion of swamp belozor. It is used in the treatment of stomach cancer. To prepare this medicine, you must mix the same parts of the herb and the roots of the plant. 20 grams of the mixture already obtained must be poured with one glass of boiling water, closed with a lid and left for 2 weeks. Such an infusion should be taken gradually, that is, first take 20 ml 3-4 times daily before meals. Further, if everything is fine with the body and it tolerates this drug perfectly, then you can use 40 ml at a time.

Belozor decoction. It is necessary to take 2 teaspoons of the roots or herbs of the plant and pour 300 ml of water over them. We put the composition on fire for 5 minutes, then we insist for two hours. After insisting, you need to strain the broth. Take this medicine should be 1 tablespoon daily. This decoction helps with gastrointestinal diseases, with liver diseases.

Belozor herb infusion. Take 10 grams of the herb of the plant, fill it with half a glass of boiled water and leave to infuse for 2 hours. Strain and take 20 ml 3 times a day for hypertension as a sedative. You can also rub yourself with this infusion or make a compress.

Lotion belozor. With inflammation of the eyes (conjunctivitis), you need to crush the grass and apply it as a lotion. Grass should simply be applied to the wound.

Decoction of Belozor seeds. You need to take an enameled dish and pour 10 grams of Belozor seeds into it, which then need to be poured with 200 ml of boiling water and put in a water bath for 30 minutes with the lid closed. Next, you need to cool the composition for 10 minutes. We filter everything through a two-three-layer gauze, wring out and add water to the original volume. Take this decoction should be 1 tablespoon three times a day after meals. The course of such treatment is 1 week.

Contraindications to the use of Belozor marsh

Belozor has not yet been fully studied by scientists, so it should be used with caution.

Belozor should not be taken by people with bradycardia, hypertension, with increased blood clotting. Belozor is categorically contraindicated for pregnant women.
