Belosalic – contraindications to use

Among the contraindications regarding the use of Belosalic, the following should be mentioned:

  1. hypersensitivity to betamethasone and glucocorticosteroids,

Contraindications to the use of Belosalic are also: acne vulgaris, rosacea or dermatitis around the mouth. You can not use the preparation around the anus and genitals.

Belosalic should not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, and in children under 12 years of age. In case of possible use during lactation, the preparation should not be applied to the breast skin before feeding. Belosalic should not be used on open wounds, and, very importantly, you should absolutely not cover the already applied medicine with dressings. This action may increase the absorption of betamethasone and salicylic acid through the skin. The action of active substances should cover the epidermis and not reach the dermis – therefore the use of compresses will not achieve a therapeutic effect.
