External description of the fungus

Bellini butter dish (Suillus bellini) consists of a stem and a cap with a diameter of 6 to 14 cm, brown or white in color, with a smooth surface. In a young mushroom, the cap has a hemispherical shape, as it matures, it becomes convex-flattened. In the central part, the hat is slightly darker in color. Hymenophore greenish-yellow, tubes of short length with angular pores.

The stem of the fungus is characterized by a small length, massiveness, a whitish-yellow tint and parameters of 3-6 * 2-3 cm, covered with granules from reddish to brownish, towards the base of the stem of this species becomes thinner and curved. Fungal spores have an ocher hue and are characterized by sizes of 7.5-9.5*3.5-3.8 microns. There is no ring between the stem and the cap, the flesh of Bellini butterdish is whitish in color, at the base of the stem and under the tubules it can be yellowish, it has a pleasant taste and strong aroma, very tender.

Habitat and fruiting period

A mushroom called Bellini butterdish (Suillus bellini) prefers to live in coniferous or pine forests, while not making special demands on the composition of the soil. It can grow both singly and in groups. Mushroom fruiting occurs only in autumn.
