Beer Vasileostrovskoye: history + review of species in short

Vasileostrovskoye beer has been produced by the St. Petersburg brewery for almost two decades. The volume of production is huge and includes very many varieties from lambics and blondes to stouts.

History of Vasileostrovskoye beer

2002 Vasileostrovskaya Brewery was founded in St. Petersburg. The first thing that was cooked was Vasileostrovskoe Domashnee, and it was intended for a restaurant. But consumers loved it so much that they continued to produce it.

2004 The company has released the legendary “Vasileostrovskoye Dark”, created following the example of dark Bavarian lagers, in which the aroma of a bread crust is perceptible.

2005 The products were in demand among buyers, so the company moved to the city center, Admiralteisky district. This made it possible to modernize the equipment and develop new exclusive varieties.

2012 We brewed the first grade, which completed the fermentation right in the bottle – “Triple Wheat Ale”. This is an unprecedented case for Russia, as the technology is complex and requires the work of professionals and specially prepared equipment. By 2020, 3 more representatives have appeared in the line of beer with secondary fermentation in the bottle.

We launched a bottle line, which subsequently led to an increase in the sales market. Thus, the year is considered a turning point.

2017 They opened a new, more modern plant in the city of Kingisepp, in the Leningrad region.

2020 Products are delivered to more than 65 Russian cities and beyond Russia, to neighboring countries. The assortment includes more than twenty-six permanent varieties, there are also collaborations, exclusive and author’s varieties. Raw materials are supplied from abroad, each stage of production is carefully controlled.
