The event opens its doors next Friday, March 24, and will extend its activities until Sunday, March 26 of the same month.

Its international scope makes important producers in the world of Craft beer, dare to be present at the event, from the cradle of the “abbeys” in Belgium, the Bitters in England and even the Russian steppes, come and show their excellent elaborations.

The Barcelona Beer Challenge celebrations

A few months ago we echoed the celebration of the Barcelona Beer Challenge within the framework of the activities surrounding the Barcelona Beer Festival.

The contest will take place in the equator of the event on March 25, where the professional jury chosen for the occasion will deliberate and evaluate the fermented products that have been presented for the appointment.

756 varieties of beers have already been counted, from two hundred brands, which has increased participation by 50% compared to last year.

Brands and varieties from many Spanish towns will be present, representing the places of Catalonia, the Basque Country, Madrid, Valencia and Galicia mainly.

The international participation of the contest stands out, contributing almost half of the products and brands, coming from destinations as close as Belgium, Ireland, Greece or France, or a little further afield such as Canada and Colombia.
