A burger or hamburger (this term, like the dish itself, has been known since 1900) is a type of sandwich where the main component is a fried cutlet made from meat, chicken or fish. The homemade burger recipe is very simple. A variety of vegetables, sauces, mayonnaise and ketchup can complement the beef cutlet in a bun.

The recipe for classic burgers was brought to New York by a German immigrant. Officially, the recipe for making a bun with a hot appetizing cutlet was patented by an American named Louis Lassen in 1900. Since then, burgers have become very popular. Many considered and consider this dish harmful, while others, on the contrary, find it very appetizing. It is useless to argue here, since the food of the category “fast food”, which includes burgers, is a matter of personal taste.

Homemade Beef Liver Burgers Recipe

Ingredients:

Bun dough:

– milk – 300 milliliters; – flour – 600 grams; – chicken egg – 2 pieces; – butter – 2 tablespoons; – granulated sugar – 60 grams; – dry yeast – 1 teaspoon; – sesame seeds for sprinkling;

Toppings:

– beef liver – 250 grams; – beef – 700 grams; – onions – 2 pieces; – tomatoes – 1 piece; – pickled cucumber – 2 pieces; – milk – 1 glass; – butter – 2 tablespoons; – lettuce leaves – 8-10 pieces; – mustard – 1 teaspoon; – sour cream – 3 tablespoons; – ketchup – 3 tablespoons; – salt pepper.

Make bun dough. In an enamel bowl, combine warmed milk, granulated sugar and yeast. Place in a warm place for 15 minutes. Then add butter, eggs and flour beaten in a blender, mix everything thoroughly.

Cover with a napkin and leave for an hour and a half.

In the meantime, you can start preparing the filling. Wash the beef, pre-soaked beef liver, cut into small pieces and scroll in a meat grinder. Mix thoroughly, dilute with a glass of milk, form into flat patties. Take a skillet, brush with vegetable oil and fry the patties over high heat for eight minutes (4 minutes on one side and 4 minutes on the other). If you need diet cutlets (no crust), add a little water and simmer over low heat.

Make sure that the cutlets are not overcooked, otherwise they will not be juicy

Combine sour cream, mustard and ketchup in a ceramic bowl until smooth. Cut the tomato, onion, pickle into slices. Pound the risen dough, divide into ten pieces and form into buns. Place them on a greased sheet, sprinkle with sesame seeds on top and place in a preheated oven for 30-40 minutes.

Cut the cooled buns lengthwise into two halves and start collecting the beef burgers. Place a leaf of green lettuce on the bottom half and a cooked liver and beef cutlet on top. On the cutlet – a circle of tomato, a few onion rings and a slice of pickled cucumber. Pour the cooked sauce over the top and cover with the other half of the bun. Delicious burger is ready.
