Having at their disposal the same number of square meters and approximately the same list of furnishings, our designers managed to decorate the bedroom interior in completely different styles: neoclassic, country and art deco.

This bedroom is a vivid example of how to equip a completely bourgeois interior with relatively small means (both decorative and financial). The main thing is to decide on the style-forming elements.
In this case, one of them was the head of the bed. The designer made it with her own hands from a sheet of plywood, a piece of foam rubber and silk fabric.
Another significant piece of furniture is a small hanging cabinet. Its frame is made of the same plywood, and the frame is made of balusters, slightly sawn to the desired size and painted white.
To decorate the doors of the built-in wardrobe, photo wallpaper imitating painting on wet plaster was used. The solution is quite unusual and, moreover, requires calculations – the door leaf and the wallpaper sheet must match in width.
A narrow and long chest, placed at the foot of the bed, serves to store bedding. Note that a blanket woven with medallions helped to harmoniously fit this modern-styled item into the interior.

The idea to decorate a room located in a typical city apartment as a dacha bedroom arose when the designer caught the eye of a fabric with a cheerful “bird yard” pattern (“Cecilia” fabric (IKEA), 89 rubles / rm). It was used to decorate the window opening and cabinet.
And since the main decorative tool and color palette were thus determined, all that remained was to select and apply paint of the desired tone to the walls and come up with the missing “rustic” entourage.
The last problem was solved with the help of a headboard, reminiscent of a dacha fence of different heights.
To make the room seem filled with clean air, they did not overload it with furniture. There is only what is needed here. And even a coffee table was used instead of a bedside table.
The designer decided to replace the usual hinged or sliding doors with curtains made of translucent fabric. For this, a cornice string was pulled between the two side walls of the cabinet. Several canvases corresponding in height were hung on it with the help of clamps. And since the same material is used in the design of the window, it seems that there are two translucent openings in the bedroom. The head of the bed is made of picket fence. It was painted white and screwed directly to the wall. A birdhouse fixed on a rail helps to maintain the illusion that a fence serves as a headboard. In the interior of this bedroom, the emphasis is not on the layout or decorativeness of the pieces of furniture (they are extremely simple and laconic), but on the materials chosen for the decoration of the walls – wallpaper with a geometric pattern (stripe).
Moreover, the designer tried to use their potential to the maximum. For example, she “influenced” with their help on space.
Pay attention to another interesting element – a wall panel made from the remnants of striped wallpaper. It would seem that four fragments are simply rotated relative to each other by 90 °, and the result is a real decorative object!
Since the bed does not have a headboard (which is not entirely practical), the surface of the wall was covered with paint that is resistant to washing up to the middle of the height. The rest was covered with wallpaper, decorating the joint of the two materials with decorative molding. The hinged doors of the built-in wardrobe are covered with striped wallpaper. Such canvases can be “unwound” both perpendicularly and parallel to the floor. In our case, we chose the first option. This solution visually increases the height of the ceiling and at the same time reduces the width of the wardrobe.
