PSYchology

I am sure that for our first-graders, the school should become a place where they are happy and want to learn. And we, parents, can and should help them. I have a way, I tried it on my child and on his friends — it turned out well. I suggest you try it too, it’s not difficult at all, but the children like it!

First, of course, the child needs to be told about the school: how everything will be there, about the lessons and grades, about the fact that there are losers and successful smart students. And it’s definitely better to be an excellent student, because then all the lessons are easy for you and it’s interesting for you to study. And offer: do you want us to play one interesting game where you will be like a magician and help yourself to become an excellent student?

Important: without such consent, do not start anything. Your little one needs to be engaged and well rested before playing, and so should you.

If consent is obtained and there is interest, here is what we suggest the child do:

Imagine, please, that in front of you on the floor there is a beautiful shining Circle of the most beautiful color and size, which glows with your Perfection. All your best, smartest, most harmonious things are in this Circle: your successes and joy, your holiday gifts and rewards for real, namely your independent achievements.

Admire this Circle: where exactly is it in front of you, like an elegant rug, is it? What size is that round rug in front of you?

Now imagine yourself standing quietly in this circle. Admire your beautiful still image of an excellent smart student. It is like a reflection in a mirror, only it can be carefully examined from all sides, if you physically walk around your imaginary Circle. Now come into this Circle, stand in the center — in the same place where the image of you, an excellent student, stands, become it and feel the state of your perfection as strongly and brightly as possible.

And now get off your rug again and look from the side at your shining Circle rug and at yourself, the Excellent Student, standing in its center. Is everything there that you would like to have? Maybe something else needs to be added to this wonderful image? For example, Confidence or Interest, Joy or Courage, Sociability or Concentration of attention? … All excellent qualities can be safely brought into the image of your perfect self and watch how your wonderful image changes and becomes even more attractive.

So alternate these actions: get out of the Circle, add to it valuable abilities and qualities that you want to show in the near future at school, observe how this quality, perhaps, changes the color of the Circle and makes your still image even more beautiful, and then step into the Circle and connect with the image of yourself in it, absorbing all your strength, talents and your future Successes and Achievements and filling yourself with these valuable qualities.

This is how the little Author of his own destiny sets up the future.

Having completed the technique, the child leaves the Circle in the form of his real self and gratefully folds the image of the shining Circle, mentally takes it in his hands, like a beautiful shining ball, and puts his hands to his body — where he wants (for example, to his head or to chest). And he mentally observes integration: how the colors of the Circle seem to flow into his body, and spread in every cell of his body and into the whole space around, filling with valuable resources at the request of the young Author all his life: The present period of life, the Future and even the Past, to remember which the child can now with creative inspiration and joy of the Author of his own destiny.

And now let him boldly go to his school: we can be calm and confident that everything with our child will be talented and excellent.
