Overhead beams, chocolate make-up, “pixel” makeup – which only makeup artists and bloggers have not come up with.
If we are already accustomed to a little crazy trends in fashion and do not pay much attention to them, since we realize that very few people will follow them, then, frankly, we are in a real shock from the trends in makeup. With the incredible development of Instagram and the appearance of beauty bloggers, there are a lot of trends in the make-up, but not all of them can and should be repeated in life. Sometimes they were created just for the sake of popularity. We have collected the most shocking trends in recent years, which are best never repeated.
Advanced bloggers and makeup artists decided that a face can be a canvas on which you can paint whatever your heart desires. So, some of the girls decided that they could depict animals, create 3D images, paint wounds and streaks of blood on their faces so realistically, as if they really were. More often than not, this makeup looks very scary rather than beautiful.
The most unusual is the “pixel” makeup – instead of clear lines, all makeup should consist of drawn squares, just like 8-bit graphics.
This trend was incredibly popular in 2015, fortunately, now it is starting to be forgotten.
After the creepy make-up, wide and natural eyebrows entered the trend, which the girls immediately began to decorate. Wavy eyebrows, herringbone eyebrows with toys, flowers on the eyebrows, tails on the ends, eyebrows in the form of barbed wire and fish tails – which bloggers have not come up with to attract attention. Only other bloggers who supported this wave were followers of these crazy trends.
All makeup artists recommend focusing on either the eyes or the lips. Beauty bloggers decided that lip designs would attract attention and began to decorate them with designs. The most popular design was the marble effect – first you need to apply a white base to the lips, and then use a brush to randomly paint gray strokes.
In addition to marble, flowers, stripes, polka dots were painted on the lips, and the most desperate pastes glued rhinestones not only along the contour, but also on all lips.
It seems that all the girls are obsessed with glitter and use them for makeup on eyelids, cheekbones, eyelashes, eyebrows and lips. Some even applied them to their hair. But make-up artist Val Garland, who is the creative director of L’Oreal Paris, went further and at one of the Giambattista Valli shows and applied glitter to the models completely on the face. They shone superbly, and thanks to the spotlights they literally shimmered.
For several years, what design options have not been invented, but the most impressive are “hairy” nails, skyscraper nails, “bubble” nails (this effect is achieved with the help of acrylic applied in a thick layer). The most creepy were the nails-teeth, which look very believable.
Last year, the Internet was swept by a new trend – “the lips of the devil.” It is said that this effect can be achieved by injecting a filler into the outer lip to create a wave effect. The reaction on the Internet to such plastic is very ambiguous. Some compare lips to blisters, others call the trend silly or describe it as an “exotic form of cold sore.” But there are those who still like this form.
