Beauty Trends – Fall-Winter 2013/14

The Paris Fashion Week has come to an end. After examining all the designers’ shows, Woman’s Day highlighted the main beauty trends in makeup and hair styling for the fall-winter 2013/14 season.

The classic Smoky eyes in fall and winter 2013/14 should be a real hit! This is exactly the kind of eye makeup that makeup artists did to models most often at Paris Fashion Week. The best examples are Elie Saab, Stephane Rolland and Zuhair Murad. The first and second options are suitable for a daytime look, and the third for an evening look. An important point: when focusing on the eyes, choose neutral shades for the lips.

Also on the catwalk there were examples of makeup with an emphasis on lips: the show by Christian Dior, Maison Anoufa. At the same time, exclusively wine shades prevailed. In terms of texture, makeup artists have used both matte lipsticks and gloss lipsticks.

In the coming season, natural makeup looks like this: beige or gold shadows, pink or transparent lip gloss and subtle peach blush … This makeup looks very romantic. Examples of it can be seen at the shows of Serkan Cura Couture, Rami Al Ali, Tony Yaacoub.

Wide eyebrows are a trend that wanders from season to season. It seems that it will never lose its relevance! The 2013/14 Paris Haute Couture Week was particularly impressed by the models from the Chanel and Yoshiki Hishinuma Couture shows. Thanks to the intense color (dark for Chanel and, conversely, light for Yoshiki Hishinuma Couture), make-up artists made eyebrows the main accent in their makeup.

The GiorgioArmaniPrive show deserves special attention: the models’ makeup and hairstyle reminded the style of the actresses of the 30s. Natural makeup and wavy hair styled to one side were worn by style icons of yesteryear – Greta Garbo and Jean Harlow.

Hair, gathered in a bun, parting on the side, like ElieSaab, and with a straight part, like LaurenceXu, reminded the hairstyles of ballerinas or secretaries in large companies. This styling is ideal for a strict office dress code, and for a formal secular dinner. And if you want variety, then before putting your hair into a bun, twist the strands into a tourniquet on one side and the other, like on the Valentino show.

If rigor is not for you, you can lift the hair at the roots and leave a few strands of hair on the face (the best example is the ZuhairMurad show). Such a slight negligence looks very natural and romantic.

Another example of a bundle can be seen at Victor & Rolf and Versace. At these shows, stylists gathered the models’ hair in a ponytail and then secured it with hairpins at the crown of the head. This styling is very convenient and versatile and has long been popular with the stars.

And if you are ready for shocking, pay attention to the hairstyle of JeanPaulGaultier models. This styling is exclusively for the brave … And do not think that it can be repeated only on very long hair: the stylists used hairpieces at the show.

Also, jewelry was used in many shows for hair. And if last season accessories for curls were in the form of all kinds of ribbons and hairpins, now they have become more massive.
