– What procedures are best done with anesthesia? There is no definite answer to this question today, since the need to use anesthesia before the procedure strongly depends on the patient’s pain sensitivity threshold. Someone asks to do anesthesia before the usual waxing. And there are patients who absolutely easily tolerate lip contouring without anesthesia. But it should be borne in mind that patients come to the clinic for beauty and want the procedures to be as comfortable as possible for them.
What procedures do I recommend performing with anesthesia?
1. All injection techniques: mesotherapy, biorevitalization, contour plastics.
2. Thread lifting.
3. Hardware methods of intensive exposure: fractional laser resurfacing, needle radio wave lifting, ultrasound SMAS lifting.
Application anesthesia carried out before mesotherapy, biorevitalization, some procedures for injection contour plastics, high-intensity hardware techniques (laser skin resurfacing, ultrasound SMAS lifting, needle RF lifting, etc. In some cases, it can be used before botulinum therapy. Application anesthesia is possible before electrolysis, but absolutely not needed before laser hair removal (if the procedure is carried out on modern high-tech equipment).
Injection anesthesia always used before thread lifting. Preferably before contouring the lips and nasolabial folds.
For permanent makeup – application, and for lip tattooing, injection is desirable. However, it all depends on the patient’s pain threshold.
To date, only drugs for application anesthesia EMLA and “Acriol Pro” are legitimately allowed for use. And believe me, with the right exposure, they are quite enough.
For injection anesthesia, only one drug that has recently appeared on the market is allowed for use – “Articaine”.
There is a very active discussion about the use of general anesthesia… But! If we remember all its disadvantages, it will become absolutely clear that the consequences of general anesthesia and simply unpleasant pain sensations that occur with the methods are absolutely incomparable.
