It is not the first year that barely noticeable nude makeup remains one of the leading trends in make up. Woman’s Day will help you to correctly emphasize the natural beauty without burdening the skin with excess cosmetics.
Probably the hardest and most time-consuming part of natural makeup is working with the skin on the face. This is not surprising: in the absence of bright color accents on the eyes or lips, it is the background that attracts all attention – your skin, and it should be flawless.
The preparatory part is no less important than the direct application of decorative cosmetics. The most expensive foundations and powders will not lay flat if the skin is not sufficiently cleansed or moisturized.
• Cleansing. Use a familiar tonic, which, by the way, not only cleanses, but also refreshes the skin at the very first stage (an indisputable plus in creating a natural look). If the hypoallergenicity of the product is important to you, or if you do not particularly welcome the use of tonic in hot weather, feel free to choose thermal water.
• Moisturizing. Moisturizing cream with a light texture will simultaneously protect the skin from dryness and prevent it from looking too shiny.
• Alignment. The surface of the skin needs adjustment, for this use a make-up base. Due to the silicone included in its composition, it makes the skin smooth not only visually, but also to the touch; due to the color pigment mattifies and makes the makeup more resistant.
The main part includes working on the complexion and working on the eyes and lips. It must be remembered that “neutral colors” do not end in beige and brown; a palette of pink, gold, coral, copper and chocolate shades are also at your disposal. With a competent approach, the combination of these colors will only emphasize the harmony and naturalness of the makeup, giving it additional lightness.
• Two products in their combination are necessary for beautiful skin and an even tone: foundation and concealer. The foundation is applied in a thin layer to the skin of the face and is carefully shaded, especially along the hairline, in the areas of the jaw and wings of the nose. The concealer helps to disguise “bruises” under the eyes and, as always, at the wrong time, small pimples. But remember the golden rule of natural makeup: no dense textures and thick layers of “plaster”! Otherwise, it can easily crumble along with your “naturalness” of the image. The main task is to emphasize the natural beauty, hiding the flaws from which you can’t get away. Well, none of us, unfortunately, is immune from sleep deprivation and inflammation. Blush, by the way, is optional, but a small amount will definitely not spoil the overall picture.
• Radiance is not as necessary as cleansing or moisturizing, but you can use a highlighter if you want. It will not only add freshness, but also help your face look rested. Apply it to the cheekbones – and they will visually become taller. Use a little over the upper lip and your lips will look bigger.
• Try not to use black mascara – brown is fine for nude makeup. It will accentuate the eyes, but will not make the look heavy. It is quite possible to do without mascara, especially if your eyelashes are thick and dark on their own. Comb them with a cleaned mascara brush to lift them up and add volume. Shadows are acceptable, but in natural shades: light tones will liven up the look, and darker colors will help correct the area of the eyelids and browbones.
• Avoid bright colors and “heavy” tones of both lipsticks and gloss. It is preferable not to apply even matte light shades to the lips, but only with patting movements to drive into the lips with the pads of your fingers closer to the center. You can also apply lip balm with its transparent texture, or even leave your lips only slightly powdered – here it is important to show not the layer of the applied product, but its color in a small amount.
