Summer is coming and the problem of sweaty feet that do not look aesthetic is a problem for many people. It is an embarrassing ailment that affects people of all ages, both men and women. It affects both physical and mental discomfort, because people affected by this ailment limit their social contacts.

There are many causes of excessive foot sweating:

  •  it can be a symptom of many diseases, most often caused by hormonal disorders, hyperthyroidism, neurological diseases
  •  sweating can be the result of taking certain medications, e.g. antidepressants or stimulants such as coffee or alcohol
  • psychological factors such as stress or emotional tension
  • genetic predisposition – in such cases, the problem usually begins in childhood and adolescence. In some cases, hyperhidrosis disappears after puberty

Treating excessive sweating is difficult, so it is recommended to prevent and reduce it by using several methods that we can implement ourselves at home.

Remember to:

  • wearing shoes and socks made of natural materials. Artificial materials can exacerbate the problem. Shoes should be ventilated after each use. It is also advisable to wear different pairs of shoes alternately
  • the use and observance of hygiene rules such as daily foot washing. If we are physically active, feet should be washed even several times a day. You should also remember about their thorough drying, especially between the fingers – moisture favors the formation of mycosis and increased sweating
  • using a peeling that helps to unclog pores and remove calloused epidermis
  • using special foot care products. It is best to look for those that will contain aluminum salts – they have the effect of limiting the production of sweat
  • Avoiding spicy foods and fatty foods. A proper diet should include vegetables and fruits that have a positive effect on the work of the whole body

Nourishing baths

Appropriate baths have a relaxing and positive effect on the feet, especially after a hard day.

Bad smell bath

To prepare the bath we will need 2 tablespoons of sage and lavender. Pour warm water over them and let them cool for about five minutes. Feet should be soaked in warm water with the addition of infusion and a few drops of lavender oil. In order for the baths to be effective, they should be regular – then they will help reduce the unpleasant odor.

Homemade ointment can be used to lubricate the feet immediately after soaking or bathing. Leave it on your feet until it is completely absorbed. For the ointment, we will need lemon juice mixed with cosmetic glycerin, which we can buy at any pharmacy.

Refreshment

After a hard day, we can give our feet a refreshing bath, which will additionally soothe irritation. A tablespoon of dried rosemary should be poured with a liter of water and left to infuse. Soak your feet in the prepared bath for at least 15 minutes.
