Six-year-old Linley decided to make herself a Christmas miracle with her own hands.
Matthew Murphy from Alabama became a father very early. When his daughter Linley was born, he was only 19 years old. It so happened that he raised the baby alone. When the girl turned six, she decided that their family was sorely lacking a mother. Dad was in no hurry to get married, and Linley realized: she needed to take matters into her own hands. Who, if not she, organizes her mom, and dad – personal happiness? Moreover, he has a girlfriend, her name is Madison, she is very nice, so why pull.
By Christmas, Linley, like everyone who was fond of the holiday, began stocking up on gifts. She honestly warned her dad that she had prepared a special present for his beloved.
“Dad, I bought a present for Madison,” said the daughter from the doorway. “I’ll ask her to marry you.”
Linley was going to give her beloved dad a ring. The girl had no doubts that Madison would do an excellent job of playing the role of her mother.
“Madison, Merry Christmas, marry dad,” the girl rattled off, jumping out in front of the girl and holding out the ring to her. Madison was taken aback. And then she laughed – not to take seriously the words of a six-year-old baby, of course, it’s all just a cute joke. But neither she nor Linley herself suspected that Matthew had a surprise too. When Madison turned to the young man to invite him to share the fun with them, Matthew was on one knee and handed her a small box. Inside was, you guessed it, not a toy, but a real wedding ring.
