But the most reliable way is to grow by seeds. You can buy them at the store or at the flower shop. Planting begins in late January or early February, since they will germinate for about a month and a half. Here’s how to do it:

1. Scale fresh seeds. Soak them for a few days in warm water or in a special solution that stimulates plant growth. The drug “Epin” is perfect for this.
2. Take a plastic cup and pour wet, calcined sand into it.
3. When the seeds are swollen, place them 1 cm into the soil. Then cover with plastic wrap to keep it warm and humid. Leave the seeds to germinate in a well-lit room.
4. Water the sand when it starts to dry.
5. When the first shoots appear, remove the film.

Thus, the laurel is planted. And when 3-4 green leaves appear on the plant, you can transplant it into a pot.

In order to grow a laurel bush, pick up a pot for it. The larger it is, the higher the bush will grow. It is good if the pot is made of clay or ceramics. Natural materials will allow the roots to breathe. There should be holes at the bottom so that excess water flows out and does not stagnate.

Place a drain at the bottom of the pot and cover it with all-purpose, neutral soil. Add organic fertilizers. Carefully place the young shoots with the root system in the soil and sprinkle with earth. After transplanting, place the laurel pot in a suitable location with ambient light or partial shade. Do not place it in direct sunlight.

In the process of growing, you need to properly care for the bush:

• Create the optimal temperature for growing it – 15-20 ° C in summer and 10-12 ° C in winter.
• Laurel loves messy air. Therefore, spray it with water, take a shower once a month, or simply place a container of water near the laurel pot.
• Fertilize the soil once a month, use organic fertilizers and mineral fertilizers.
• Water the bush only with warm and settled water. In winter, once every 5 days is enough, and in summer 2 times a week.
• 2 years after planting, transplant the tree into another pot, as its roots will be cramped. In the future, repot it every 5 years.
• When the weather is nice and warm, take the plant to fresh air, such as a balcony or garden. In winter, it should only be indoors.

Proper care of the plant will allow you to grow a green laurel tree more than 2 m high.
