Bathroom subfloor: design features

What design does a bathroom with a black floor have?

Black takes on strength when combined with other colors. The most contrasting is white, which visually balances dark tones. White color reflects light well, makes the room brighter and more spacious. Therefore, the following are considered classic design options:

black floor and white walls with a ceiling and dark inserts;

black and white floor tiles;

dark tiles with white seams;

the floor is dark tiled, the lower third is in black and the rest of the bathroom is light.

Bathroom fittings and accessories are also selected in monochrome colors. A composition with a harmoniously selected color combination is perceived as a holistic image, does not cause emotional discomfort and mental stress.

When choosing finishing materials, it should be borne in mind that they must have hydrophobic properties. Then dampness and moisture will not spoil the aesthetic and technical properties of the materials used. The surface of the floor and walls can be matte and glossy. At the same time, the glossy surface lends itself better to washing and maintenance.

The ceiling should not be planned in black. Instead, it is better to do it in white tones using stretch ceilings, whitewash or special acrylic-based paints. You can apply patterns to it to give the interior liveliness and energy.
