Ancient medicine, in particular the teaching of Ayurveda that has come down to us from India, considers ginger root a miraculous remedy for preparing not only healing drinks and dishes. This amazing plant is also used for therapeutic baths.
Its healing properties
It is no coincidence that this plant is recognized by many medical scientists as one of the most miraculous products. Ginger is rich in many vitamins and valuable amino acids, essential oils and minerals. It contains oleic, nicotinic, caprylic and linoleic acids.
The composition of ginger includes the most valuable micro and macro elements for the skin. Among them are magnesium, potassium, copper, manganese, silicon. As well as germanium, phosphorus, chromium, calcium and iron. This determines the antioxidant, rejuvenating properties of ginger root. Its effect on the skin is simply amazing.
Preparing a bath
Prepare 100 g of ginger root, rinse it carefully so that the skin does not peel off – it is in it that there are many useful substances. Finely chop or grate the root and then pour about 1 liter of boiling water into it. Let this mixture simmer for 15 minutes over low heat. Pass the finished broth through gauze or a fine sieve and add to the filled bath.
You can also use ginger powder. To do this, brew 2,5 tablespoons of the powder in the same way. Bath temperature 37-40°C. To make its effect even more useful, it is recommended to add a tablespoon of bee honey, 5-6 drops of any essential oil – orange, lemon, vanilla, lemon balm or sandalwood. All of them are perfectly combined with ginger root. The bath is ready, you can take it. It should not be done for more than 20 minutes. It is not necessary to rinse after it – let the ginger continue its healing effect. Just wrap yourself in a terry sheet for half an hour or put on a bathrobe and warm yourself under the covers.

A bath with a decoction of ginger root has undeniable benefits. It removes toxins, improves blood circulation, relieves swelling, and in case of arthrosis, soothes joint pain. It is no coincidence that this spice is so revered in the East. Bath with ginger relieves stress, helps with colds, relieves fatigue, and simply improves mood.
To enhance its healing effect will help tea drinking with ginger tea after the bath. Prepare tea in advance – for this, put a teaspoon of grated root in a thermos and pour boiling water over it. While you are taking a bath, the tea will infuse. You can add honey or sugar directly to a cup of tea.
By itself, this tea will also improve metabolism and help you lose weight.
Note
If you have excessively dry skin – add 1 liter of milk to the bath. For sensitive skin, it is good to add bran – about 3 tablespoons.
