Basic rules to help keep your home clean

We are not talking about a manic love for cleanliness, but the elementary rules of order should still be followed. And you will see how your apartment will be transformed!

Do not leave for later if you can clean up right away

Do not wait until the mountain in the sink looks like Everest, and the greasy stains dry up and can only be removed with sandpaper. Try to wash the dishes as soon as possible after cooking or dinner, and you will see how much time you save in the end. The same goes for other little things. Don’t wait until you have clean clothes, start the washing machine whenever you have enough items.

Clean a specific area every day

So that your house does not turn into one continuous dump of unnecessary items and old things, periodically conduct an audit, getting rid of junk that you no longer need. You can also divide the house into conventional zones and pay attention to one of them every day. This way you can keep your entire apartment clean.

Make cleaning a pleasure

Don’t think of cleaning as a boring routine. Play the music that you like, and you will not only benefit from the process itself, but also enjoy it.

Involve all family members in the process

Determine your scope of work for each family member and be sure to monitor the completion of the task. For example, children will be able to wipe the kitchen countertops and wash the dishes, the husband will be able to do the plumbing, light bulbs or hinges that need to be fixed. And you can devote yourself to cleaning the kitchen. In addition, a common lesson brings you closer, but just do not turn the process into a showdown.

Inspect your property before bed.

Before heading to the bedroom, take another look around your apartment and make sure that there are no piles of plates left in the sink, clean clothes for you and your family are prepared and calmly hanging in the closet, and the leftovers of dinner have already been put into the refrigerator and even brushed crumbs off the table. Thus, you will not have unfulfilled tasks for tomorrow and you can rest easy.

Follow the two minute rule

If you analyze the tasks that you need to complete and understand that it will take you about two minutes to complete them, then, without delay, just go ahead and do it. For example, wipe the sink, clean the mirror, change the bedding, straighten the pillows on the sofa, clean the countertop, wash the dishes, dust off, throw the laundry in the wash … All these simple little things will make your life easier, and you can already keep clean on the machine. This means you won’t need to spend your day off cleaning up the clutter in your home. Instead, you can devote time to yourself or loved ones.
