It is not known whether the commander, Field Marshal General and Prince Barclay de Tolly loved cognac, but the Russians liked the drink named after him. Cognac appeared in 2002: a blend of Spanish spirits matured for at least five years in their French oak casks, burned from the inside to light charring. This led to a beautiful color that does not need to be tinted with burnt sugar, and a pleasant aroma. The designer decanter bottle serves as an additional feature that distinguishes this drink from others, including those produced by ALVISA Alcohol Group and the Stavropol Wine and Cognac Factory.
About the manufacturer. SVKZ – Stavropol wine and cognac factory was founded immediately after the Second World War in 1947. Today it is one of the most famous enterprises in Russia, equipped with modern European equipment. In 1999, SVKZ became the property of the international alcohol group of companies ALVISA, it was modernized and already in 2006 the plant entered the top three Russian cognac producers.
Now the plant occupies the 2nd place in Russia in terms of shipment of cognac (only 8,1% of the market). SVKZ cognac brands are Elderishina, Zolotaya Vyderka and Barclay de Tolly. The international group of companies ALVISA owns another Russian plant – grape sparkling and still wines and vermouth are produced by an enterprise in Mineralnye Vody. It provides the group of companies “Alviza” 2nd place in Russia in sales of vermouth (11,5% of the market), 3rd place in shipment of wine (6% of the market).
In addition to Russian enterprises, founded in 1969, Alviza Alcohol Group, headquartered in Barcelona, owns two factories in Spain: one produces wines, the second, in the La Mancha region, cognac spirits.
Plant ALVISA Spiritus – the current leader of the Spanish wine industry, until 2006 belonged to the world famous Japanese group of companies Suntory. The enterprise combines traditional distillation methods and innovative technologies, the main product is cognac spirits, which are also supplied to the Stavropol plant. Spirits according to classical technology mature in American (white) oak and French (Limousin) oak barrels.
In 2015, ALVISA Alcohol Group received the CAAE European environmental certification. It was this event that caused the Elder Ecological cognac to appear on the market.
“Alviza Alcohol Group” is not only a manufacturer of alcoholic beverages, but also a distributor – it carries out wholesale deliveries of alcohol, both produced by its own enterprises and other well-known companies.
