Well, when we look at the foam content, so much so liked by our children, we realize that it is not nutritious snack.
Bakuś contains mostly sugar, as much as 12,9 g 100 g of the product. A large amount of simple sugars causes a sudden burst of insulin into the body, the amount of glucose in the blood drops sharply, and we feel hungry. In addition, the consistency of light foam makes the absorption of this dessert almost imperceptible. We’ll never see when the content of the first one disappears packaging. So the child will easily reach for the next portion, charging it inside himself an additional dose of harmful sugar and unnecessary calories …
Sustainable development formula?
The company prides itself on enriching the product with valuable acids omega fatty acids – 3. They are classified as polyunsaturated fatty acids, the main sources of which are fish (salmon, herring, mackerel) as well as oils fish. Of course, they are valuable to the baby because of their beneficial effects brain development. However, their negligible amount in 100 g – 0,053 g is nothing to do with this contributes. For comparison, 100 g of mackerel contains docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), because we are talking about it specifically, is over 30 times higher (1,6 g / 100 g).
As with Omega-3, so is the calcium content and vitamin D leaves much to be desired. Their share in the product is just 15% of the recommended daily intake.
Remember that calcium is an extremely valuable ingredient mineral. It fulfills various functions in the human body – it builds bones, it ensures the hardness of the teeth and is also involved in the excitability of tissues. For children aged 3-9, the recommended daily allowance is 800 mg. Spend to it could have been a lot, but just drinking two glasses of milk every day our toddler covers this demand. There are milk and dairy products its richest source and probably all of us immediately come to mind. But where else can this valuable ingredient be found? Well, they are the source of calcium also canned fish containing bones (sardines, sprats), eggs, dry legume seeds (peas, beans), spinach, as well as some nuts (Italian, peanut).
It is worth knowing that the absorption of calcium increases vitamin D. Besides the mentioned function vitamin D is essential for the functioning of the skeletal system. Her deficiency can lead to rickets in children, which shows that as well it is extremely important to remember about it. Recommended daily intake of this vitamins at the age of 1-9 years is 15 µg.
About 80% of the human body derives it from skin synthesis, while it can also be found in products such as eggs, butter, cheese, milk. We can find the most vitamin D in fish and fish fats. For example, the daily dose can be satisfied by consumption 50g of fresh eel ..
Is the “formula of sustainable development” really? aims to contribute to the proper development of the child, or is it typical gimmick?
Chocolate and sponge cake only in the name
Let’s take a closer look at the flavors of appetizing Bakuś.
Reaching for a chocolate-flavored dessert, we can come across for nothing but an extra portion of sugar mixed with cocoa (1,2%). Down powdered chocolate was also added in a knockout amount of 0,03%. Can you so call this dessert chocolate? The biscuit counterpart is not much different. Here also for information about the biscuit filling in the first position we find sugar, which proves its greatest share. If, on the other hand, Fr. Sponge cakes, their density is only 1,7%. To enrich the taste There are also aromas in Bakuś, which certainly additionally encourages the child to reaching for a tasty dessert.
A tab has been specified on the website “The advantages of Bakuś”, in which we can read that it is “a perfect combination taste and health in one cup ”. Taste – possibly after adding flavor chocolate or biscuit and lots of sugar, but with a statement “Health” in relation to this product can already be argued.
I have introduced you to two of the three flavors available on the market Bakushia. In shops, we can also find a strawberry-flavored dessert. Unfortunately, it also ends up on our blacklist due to its composition. So I decided to create a replacement for you – tasty, but at the same time much healthier. When preparing the dessert yourself, we can be sure that the strawberries flavorings are one of the main ingredients, not merely admixture in the product. Moreover, the amount of added sugar depends only on us. In my recipe, I used honey instead of sugar, but you can add it in less than I stated, at my discretion.
Recipe (strawberry flavored cheese)
Ingredients: 0,5l ml 450 g of strawberries 1 packet of vanilla pudding 3 teaspoons honey
1. Pour the milk into a pot (about 0,4l), add honey, stirring occasionally
2. Add the vanilla pudding to the remaining amount of milk.
3. Add the milk with pudding to the boiling milk and mix it all.
4. After cooling down to the pudding, add strawberries and mix everything until smooth.
