Bakhchisaray

Branded brandy of the Crimean wine and brandy factory “Bakhchisaray” was created by the chief technologist of the enterprise, a specialist with twenty years of experience in winemaking Vitaly Lukanin. It was under his leadership that the KVKZ launched the production of Crimean cognac spirits, while other cognac enterprises import spirits from France and Spain.

Evidence of Lukanin’s skill is numerous awards at international exhibitions and competitions. Brandy series “Bakhchisarai” consists of three-four-and five-star drinks. The spirits are blended according to the classical technology, the flavor profile is formed in accordance with the French style.

About the manufacturer

The history of Bakhchisarai winemaking began in the 1963th century in the Byzantine city of Eski-Kermen, where, thanks to the unique climatic conditions, grapes were already successfully grown and wine was made. In the Middle Ages, the cave Crimean monastery of Kachi-Kalyon was famous for its wine – people came from all over the peninsula for the monastery wine. Some wine-making traditions remained, but the workshop, on the basis of which the Bakhchisaray KVKZ was created, arose only in XNUMX. At that time it was one of the workshops of the artel named after Maxim Gorky.

It all started with a small screw press and several containers for wine materials, and by the end of the seventies of the last century, the company was already processing up to twenty thousand tons of grapes annually. The plant has its own areas with varietal, European and autochthonous grapes, which are grown in conditions identical to the famous French regions – on the same latitude as Bordeaux (Bordeaux), Alsace (Alsace), Bourgogne (Burgundy). And European and autochthonous varieties are grown here.

There are four production shops at the enterprise:

  • shop of wine materials with a capacity of 10 thousand tons of grapes per year;
  • vodka shop;
  • a bottling shop for still and sparkling wines equipped by the Italian company Vir Mauri with a capacity to produce 6 bottles per hour;
  • a cognac shop with underground storage facilities where spirits are kept and blends are selected.

Up to one and a half million decaliters of spirits and wine materials can be stored in the storage facilities at the same time.

Modern technologies that are used at the KVKZ are expensive and inaccessible for most Russian enterprises:

  • special devices control the temperature, which allows you to fully preserve the bouquet of aromas and all the nuances of the aftertaste;
  • cold bottling, in which dry wine is not pasteurized, retains the rich taste and beneficial properties of the grapes.

The range of products of the Crimean Wine and Cognac Factory includes almost the entire palette of alcoholic beverages – still and sparkling wines, vermouths, ciders, tinctures, vodka, balsams and cognacs.
