Baked fish is a simple dish, but very effective. You can cook the fish in portions or serve it whole. Many types of fish are suitable for baking, but one of the most successful is trout. The dense pinkish meat has a rich taste and retains its shape well. Top up the trout with vegetables, gravy, and herbs.

You will need: – 700 g of trout; – 2 onions; – 300 g of fresh mushrooms; – thyme; – 1/2 lemon; – olive oil; – salt; – freshly ground black pepper; – a bunch of parsley.

Cut the onion into thin rings and fry in hot olive oil until golden brown. Rinse the mushrooms, pat dry with a paper towel and cut into thin slices. Pour some oil into a separate skillet and fry the mushrooms in it for 10-15 minutes.

Wash, peel and gut the trout. Place it in a skillet with the onion and fry until golden brown. Then stuff the fish with mushrooms and place in a mold. Season the trout with salt and pepper, drizzle with lemon juice and season with thyme. Bake the fish in an oven preheated to 200 ° C. Serve by placing the carcasses on a preheated dish. Garnish the trout with herbs and serve boiled or baked potatoes as a side dish.
