Fragrant meat with potatoes is a simple, but very satisfying duet. If you want it to be also healthy, then do not fry these products in a pan, but cook in the oven. This can be, for example, baked pork with potatoes in the form of a roast or steamed meat chop under a fur coat of vegetables and mushrooms.

Roast pork roast with potatoes

Ingredients: – 700 g of pork; – 1 kg of potatoes; – 2 medium carrots; – 0,5 tbsp. water; – 1/3 tsp each coriander, marjoram and caraway seeds; – a pinch of ground black pepper; – 1,5 tsp salt; – 10 g parsley; – vegetable oil.

Rinse the pork, cut it into small cubes, fold into a bowl and sprinkle with half the spice mixture, pepper and 0,5 tsp. salt. Stir well and leave for 20-30 minutes. Peel the potatoes, cut them into slices, season with the remaining spices and salt with 1 tsp. without a slide of salt. Stir with your hands to distribute the seasonings evenly.

Preheat oven to 200 ° C. Pour vegetable oil over a deep baking sheet and place the potatoes in it. Top with aromatic pork. Cut the carrots into 4 pieces lengthwise and chop into small pieces, sprinkle over the meat. Pour the water into the dish and sprinkle the chopped parsley over the dish. Cover the roast with a sheet of foil and bake in the oven for 75 to 80 minutes. Divide the finished dish into portions and serve with fresh vegetables.

Baked pork with potatoes and mushrooms in a foil envelope

Ingredients: – 500 g pork fillet; – 4-5 medium potatoes; – 300 g of champignons (frozen); – 1 large onion; – 0,5 tsp ground white pepper; -salt.

Pat the washed pork well with a paper towel. Cut it across the grain into 0,5/180-inch slices and beat each one with a kitchen hatchet. Cut the mushrooms into slices. Cut the peel from the potato and cut it into thin circles, chop the peeled onion. Prepare foil rectangles, one for each meat portion. Turn on the oven by setting the temperature to XNUMX ° C.

Divide the amount of vegetables and mushrooms by the number of chops you make. Place a slice of pork in the center of each silver leaf and season with salt. Put the mushrooms on top of it, then the onion and finally the potatoes. Sprinkle vegetables with a pinch of salt and pepper, carefully wrap the foil in a roll and place on a baking sheet. Repeat all steps for the remaining ingredients. Cook pork under the “fur coat” in the oven for an hour, take it out and let it walk for another 10-15 minutes without opening the foil. Transfer each serving to a plate and place next to a light salad or pickles on the table.
