Bait for grass carp do it yourself: the best recipes at home

Any fisherman will not mind having grass carp in his catch. Some catch it purposefully, while others go fishing to catch any fish. In other words, these fishermen enjoy the number of bites, no matter what fish are biting. Unfortunately, this approach does not make it possible to catch grass carp, as this is a specific fish that has its own gastronomic preferences. To catch grass carp, you need to prepare the right bait. If you cook bait yourself, it will be cheaper. Such bait will be in no way inferior to the purchased one in terms of its effectiveness. If everything is done correctly, then grass carp will definitely become interested in bait and will delight the angler with active bites.

Bait for grass carp must meet the basic requirement, regardless of the time of year. It must create a lot of turbidity. Moreover, the main composition can be the same. If cupid is active, then the angler will soon feel it.

Naturally, one turbidity is not enough and the bait must contain ingredients that can keep grass carp at the fishing point for a long time. If this is not the case, then he will first come up, and then quickly leave this place in search of food. This indicates that the bait should contain large elements and in sufficient quantities.

The basis of bait can include any ingredients used to prepare bait for fish. The only difference is that special components should be added to it that can create a lot of turbidity. A cloud of turbidity will quickly interest grass carp and bites may follow in 15-30 minutes.

To create a cloud of turbidity, the following additives are suitable:

  • powdered milk;
  • condensed milk;
  • semolina;
  • crushed cookies;
  • oat flakes;
  • a mixture of crushed canned corn and honey;
  • regular bread.

Such additives are thoroughly mixed with the main components. For carp fishing, you should not save bait and harvest it for fishing in the amount of several kilograms. As a rule, it is not less than 3 kilograms. This amount is necessary in order to be able to feed it in the process of fishing.

Corn, peas, pearl barley, as well as pellets and boilies are used as feed elements, which also give good results. Moreover, pellets and boilies can be thrown into the fishing point in the form of separate components. This is done periodically throughout the fishing.

Most experienced anglers introduce sweet ingredients and pleasant fruit flavors into the bait, as grass carp prefers sweets. If you follow this path, you can make fishing more productive. As a rule, honey, condensed milk, various attractants, etc. are added to the bait. In addition to sweets, grass carp may prefer bait with the smell of garlic. To do this, the garlic is crushed and added to the main mixture.

  • 1 cup steamed cake;
  • banana – 2;
  • a handful of canned corn.

Method of preparation

Wheat porridge is cooked and mixed with ready-made purchased bait. After that, a loaf of black bread is softened and a glass of cake is steamed and mixed with the main composition in the same way. Finally, two bananas and a handful of canned corn are added to the mixture, after which the groundbait is thoroughly mixed. Upon arrival at the pond, balls with a diameter of about 50 mm are molded from the bait and thrown into the fishing point. At the same time, approximately half of the mixture is used, and half is left to feed the fish during the fishing process, otherwise it will not be possible to keep the fish in one place.

This simple recipe does the job perfectly and attracts grass carp.

If bottom tackle with a “spring” feeder is used to catch grass carp, then you will have to prepare a bait of a completely different consistency than when fishing with a float.

To do this, you will need:

  • 1 kg of millet porridge;
  • 2-3 potatoes;
  • the flesh of black bread;
  • bananas – 2 pcs;
  • 1 glass of steamed cake;
  • 1 handful of canned corn;
  • semolina – 1 glass.

Method of preparation

To begin with, potatoes and millet porridge are boiled. Potatoes are peeled and grated. At the same time, it is mixed with millet porridge directly on the pond. After mixing, a crumb of black bread and 2 bananas are added to the mixture, and then steamed cake and canned corn. The entire composition is thoroughly mixed to the desired density. The main thing is that the bait keeps perfectly on the “spring” and does not wash out of it ahead of time. Finally, the viscosity of the bait is adjusted with semolina.

After that, the bait is stuffed into the “spring” and cast.

When going fishing for grass carp, you need to know that it is an absolute vegetarian, and only plant components should be used as baits. Despite this, grass carp is a powerful and strong fish that can provide decent resistance to the angler. Therefore, the selection of gear for catching it is a special issue. As a rule, powerful spinning rods are used and preferably not telescopic. The grass carp bites very powerfully and sharply, immediately swallowing the bait. The sooner this fish reaches the shore, the better for the fisherman.

Grass carp feeds on aquatic vegetation growing in the reservoir, and baits such as young shoots of reeds or reeds can be the most catchy. At the same time, according to many fishing enthusiasts, he is not indifferent to a fresh cucumber. Therefore, they cut green cucumbers into cubes, 1×1 cm in size and mix these cubes with bait.

Some anglers harvest young reed shoots and then catch grass carp on them.

It should also be remembered that this fish is afraid of the slightest noise on the shore and immediately begins to slide into the depths. Therefore, when catching grass carp, complete silence should be observed.
