Company Overview

Bacardi rum was founded in 1862. Don Facundo Bacardi Masso was the first who decided to ennoble the taste of a real pirate drink. For a long ten years, he perfected his skills and introduced innovations in the blending process.

He was the first to apply four main production processes in the preparation of rum, which set the standard for quality in this area:

  1. Using a single strain of yeast.

  2. Blending and distillation of several types of rum at the same time.

  3. Purposeful use of barrels to improve the taste.

  4. Using charcoal as a filter for rum.

Composition Bacardi Oakhart

As we already know, Bacardi Oakheart is made on the basis of 35% rum. In addition to specially selected alcohols, the composition of the drink includes:

  1. Infusion of nutmeg and cinnamon

  2. Vanilla extract

  3. Honey

  4. Dye – sugar color E150A

  5. water and sugar

Due to the quality composition of spiced rum, the manufacturer claims that this drink has no expiration date. And even after 5-10 years, its taste will remain the same.

Production Features of Bacardi Oakheart

During the production process of OakHeart Spiced Rum, a base blend is first created from aged Bacardi rum. Then the drink is placed for at least one year in specially charred barrels, which are made from American oak, where it acquires pronounced woody tones with a smoky note. At the last stage of aging, honey is added, as well as extracts of vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon. The result is a unique product with velvety softness and rich spicy notes.

With what and how to drink Oakhart Original

If we were pirates, then we could safely afford to drink this rum straight from the bottle and at the same time hum the song “Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum”.

But, in our time, it is still customary to drink this drink in compliance with some rules:

  1. Spicy rum can be consumed in the process of a feast from glasses or served as a digestif in glasses.

  2. Oakheart Original can be chilled slightly before serving or drunk at room temperature.

  3. A couple of ice cubes will only improve the taste of the drink.

  4. A win-win version of Bacardi OakHeart with cola (you can also dilute the drink with spring water). The proportions can be varied according to your taste preferences. The standard proportion is 1:2.

  5. This rum goes well in a variety of cocktails.

As an appetizer, it is recommended to serve pineapple, orange or dark chocolate.

But if you decide to serve a drink to the festive table, then it is advisable to make a menu without too fatty dishes, fish dishes are a priority.

And remember that rum is the favorite drink of pirates, for whom there are no rules. If you’re in a playful mood today, just unscrew the lid, turn up the music, dance and enjoy the extraordinary taste of Bacardi Oakheart.
