The Four Lives of Russia project includes four two-volume essays on the mass consciousness of Russians from the times of Khrushchev, Brezhnev, Gorbachev and Yeltsin.

Boris Andreevich Grushin — Doctor of Philosophy, founder of Soviet theoretical and empirical sociology. He was the first to dare to study public opinion in the USSR, he and his students invented and developed many methods that explore and «measure» the fluctuations of mass consciousness. The Four Lives of Russia project includes four two-volume essays on the mass consciousness of Russians from the times of Khrushchev, Brezhnev, Gorbachev and Yeltsin. This unique work is based on 250 empirical studies conducted over 40 years. A new book dedicated to the Brezhnev era presents the results of public opinion polls concerning various facets of our lives: family, religion, politics, economics, ideology, work, etc.
