Azycin is a macrolide antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. It is intended for general use. The antibiotic is in the form of film-coated tablets, but is also available in the form of granules for oral suspension. The active ingredient of Azycin is azithromycin. When is it advisable to use Azycin? How to take an antibiotic and what side effects to watch out for?

Azycine – properties

The action of Azycin is based on its active substance, which is azithromycin – an antibiotic from the macrolide group, which is a semi-synthetic derivative of erythromycin and devoid of some of its disadvantages. Effectively inhibits bacterial ribosomes, co prevents the growth and multiplication of bacterial cells. It is well absorbed and quickly penetrates from the serum into the tissues. Thanks to its accumulation in phagocytes, the distribution of the drug to inflammatory tissues increases, which has a positive effect on the shorter treatment process.
