Avoiding meat allows you to live longer

Californian scientists have once again confirmed the harm of eating meat products. They noted that meat-eaters live less than those who eat vegetables and fruits. And more often they are exposed to heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes.

With the same calorie intake per day, fiber-rich plant-based diets live about 12% longer than meat eaters. They are much less likely to suffer from diabetes, diseases of the kidneys, heart and blood vessels. A particularly high-fat and protein-rich menu is bad for men. Their risk of dying from strokes, heart attacks, kidney disease and diabetes is much higher for women, approaching about 19%.

The situation is aggravated by the fact that all male meat-eaters accompany their meals with alcohol and tobacco, which is not observed among those who have excluded meat from the menu. The only thing that, perhaps, everyone is equal, is the risk of developing cancer. It does not depend, doctors say, on the list of products that a person uses.

The experiment, on the basis of which scientists came to similar conclusions, lasted less than 6 years. It was attended by 73 participants, among whom were representatives of two sexes.
