Aviva (Aviva) – Spanish sparkling wine, which attracts attention with its interesting design. Mother-of-pearl champagne effectively shimmers with pink, blue and golden hues. The drink is produced by Torre Orio, one of the best producers of sparkling wines in Valencia. The novelty appeared in 2013, and immediately aroused the stormy interest of buyers. Aviva is sold in 40 countries around the world.
Historical information
Torre Orio was founded by silk merchant José de Rueda. The winery and the industrialist’s estate were built at the same time, the famous Spanish architect Jose Donderis worked on the project. For a long time the company remained private and produced wines only for the needs of the family. In 1954, the heirs decided to sell the estate, and the company was acquired by a group of entrepreneurs, one of whom was a specialist in the production of sparkling wines.
Torre Orio became the first winery in Valencia, which received the official right to apply the Cava DO label to its sparkling wines. Before that, only champagne made in Catalonia, where wines have been produced since ancient Rome, was labeled this way. The Spanish drink differs from traditional French champagne in its recipe and manufacturing technology.
A new round of development of the winery began in 1981. The production areas have expanded, the production lines have been completely updated. The company entered the international market. In 2013, the company became the property of Vintes Wines, which developed the Aviva brand. Every year the company produces about ten million bottles of sparkling wines.
Production features
The best varieties of Spanish grapes are used in production: Airen and Moscatel. The berries are separated from the woody stems and placed under a gentle press. The technique works under low pressure so as not to crush the bones and spoil the taste of the wine. The squeezed juice goes through the first fermentation. At this stage, the grape sugars are converted into alcohol.
Secondary fermentation takes place according to the Champenois method. Yeast is added to young wine, which converts sugar into carbon dioxide. Champagne matures from 9 to 30 months depending on the variety. After the end of the fermentation period, the bottles are turned upside down on special stands so that the sediment collects at the bottom. At the last stage, the neck of the container is frozen and the rest of the yeast is removed along with the stopper.
Bright glittery shades of the drink are obtained using combinations of food colors that resemble pearl dust. Substances are safe for health, do not affect the taste in any way and are only responsible for the visual effect. To admire the mother-of-pearl overflows, you need to shake the bottle properly. The wine starts to move and does not stop for a long time.

Aviva sparkling wine quickly conquered the Asian market due to its unusual colors that appeal to young people. The fashion for the drink spread like wildfire, and the brand instantly entered the charts of the best-selling alcohol.
The Spanish company is not the first manufacturer of colored champagne. The German sparkling wine Golden Kiss contains particles of edible gold, and the Spanish brand Cloudem is almost a complete analogue of Aviva, only less popular. In 2019, a multi-colored wine drink began to be produced in Belarus.
Types of Champagne Aviva
The manufacturing technology of all types of Aviva champagne is the same, only the type of dye differs. In the delicate taste of the drink, notes of oranges, grapefruits and pineapples are felt. The sugar content is high – 40 g per 1 liter, so the wine is quite sweet. The aroma is dominated by fruity and floral tones.
Aviva Pink Gold, 5,5%
Champagne at rest looks like a clear white wine. At the bottom of the bottle are pearly sequins, which, when moved, color the drink in the color of rose gold.
Aviva Blue Sky, 5,5%
Light drink of pearl-blue color with delicate taste. Champagne is not too carbonated, so you can shake the bottle fearlessly – the cork will not fly out, and the wine will not pour out.
Aviva Rose, 5,5%
Sparkling wine of a soft pink hue appeared in 2017. This is the most popular variety in Southeast Asia.
