The use of medical marijuana is still controversial. Despite the fact that it has been legalized, some doctors still do not want to prescribe prescriptions to patients. However, the list of serious medical conditions that cannabis treats is quite extensive. Its effectiveness is best seen in the case of multiple sclerosis, neuropathic pain and epilepsy in children.
Doctors were given the right to prescribe medical marijuana on July 7, 2017, while medical marijuana was available in Poland from November 1, 2017. As it turned out, the complicated legal regulations meant that most pharmaceutical companies were unable to meet the requirements of Polish regulations and the drugs did not immediately appear in pharmacies. Is medical marijuana easy to get today? What conditions must be met?
What is medical marijuana?
The term medical marijuana refers to marijuana used for medicinal purposes. It is produced from hemp, which, unlike cannabis, is characterized by a high content of a substance called CBD with invaluable healing properties. At the same time, they do not contain much THC, so they do not have the psychoactive effect that is characteristic of the Indian cannabis strain.
Both CBD and THC are among the many active substances found in marijuana. They belong to the cannabinoids that act on the CB1 and CB2 receptors of the endocannabinoid system, found in the nervous or immune systems. However, it should be remembered that THC has a stimulating and psychoactive effect, while CBD has an anticonvulsant and calming effect. That is why the right proportion of these substances is so important.

What diseases can medical marijuana treat?
Medical marijuana helps with many diseases. Various forms of marijuana can be given to patients depending on the nature of the disease. Today, medical marijuana is available in the form of dry smoke or vaporization, an aerosol, capsules, ointments and CBD oil.
Medical marijuana is most commonly used for glaucoma that is unresponsive to other forms of treatment. It reduces the pressure in the eye, which causes damage to the optic nerve.
Marijuana is also often used to treat epilepsy, significantly reducing the frequency and intensity of seizures. Marijuana is also effective in treating various types of cancer, such as breast cancer and glioma.
Most of the medical evidence also supports its effectiveness in treating multiple sclerosis. In this case, it relieves muscle tension and the feeling of paralysis. Medical marijuana can also be used in the case of neuroses and depression, as it significantly improves the well-being of patients and reduces the feeling of helplessness.
Where is medical marijuana legal?
Medical marijuana has also been legalized in several other European countries. These include, for example, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Slovenia, Germany, Belgium, and the United Kingdom. In all of these countries, marijuana can be used for medicinal purposes.
For safety reasons, it is worth doing tests to determine the level of THC in the body from time to time. Buy THC Shipping Test for people taking CBD or medical marijuana and see if the level is too high.

How to buy medical marijuana in Poland?
In Poland, medical marijuana has been legal since November 1, 2017. The condition for the purchase was to obtain a prescription. Any doctor, except a veterinarian, could have it written out. In theory, it could even be a family doctor. However, it had to have special forms of Rpw prescriptions, i.e. narcotic prescriptions, or a special e-prescription label. This was due to the fact that medical marijuana, due to its effects and the risk of possible addiction, was classified as narcotic drugs, similarly to morphine and codeine. However, CBD products can already be purchased without a prescription. Droughts, CBD pastes and CBD oils with health-promoting properties are available on Medonet Market.

Having these prescriptions requires additional documentation, so not every doctor will have them. They usually have, for example, oncologists or psychiatrists. If we find a doctor who writes a prescription, all you need to do is buy the drug at a pharmacy. Until recently, the drug was available only in 3 pharmacies in Poland. If there is no medical marijuana in the pharmacy in our city, they are obliged to order it. The waiting time for the drug is approx. 1-2 days. Please note that it is non-refundable.
Another possibility is the so-called target import. It consists in importing marijuana from abroad for a specific patient. The doctor must then write out a conclusion that medical marijuana is an essential form of treatment. Such a request is then directed to the voivodship consultant in a given field of health.
After receiving its written confirmation from the provincial consultant, the application is submitted to the Ministry of Health. The demand confirmed by the ministry is directed by the doctor to a pharmaceutical wholesaler through a generally accessible pharmacy. The demand is valid for 60 days. It takes about 3 days to issue a decision, while you have to wait from 3 to 21 days for a drug at a pharmacy. The drug imported from abroad will already be reimbursed.
Where can you get medical marijuana and what is the price?
Medical marijuana can be purchased in Poland on prescription from January 17, 2019. It is brought to our country by the company Spectrum Cannabis, which has managed to obtain the approval of the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products. You can only get medical marijuana on a prescription. Usually, pharmacies do not have medication in stock as it is very costly to order. However, each pharmacy is obliged to order the drug from the wholesaler after presenting the prescription.
Watro also emphasized that medical marijuana treatment is quite expensive and therefore beyond the reach of some patients. A prescription drug will cost about PLN 65 per gram of dried fruit. This product contains around 1% THC and less than 19% CBD, which is non-intoxicating. Today, work is underway to introduce another drug to the Polish market, which contains only 1% THC and as much as 10% CBD. This drug is already under registration. This form of medical marijuana will primarily benefit people with cancer.
You can find medical marijuana oil in the form of an essential oil at Medonet Market. People who have never taken it can reach for CBD oil 12% or CBD oil 15%. The Medonet Market also offers CBD 24% oil with concentrated action.
