Italy’s most famous and controversial politician has tested positive for coronavirus.
On September 2, it became known that the ex-Prime Minister of Italy Silvio Berlusconi was infected with the coronavirus. Shortly before that, the politician passed the test, which turned out to be positive. This was stated by his personal physician Alberto Zangrillo.
Ansta reported that the former prime minister passed the test after his trip to Sardinia. Berlusconi’s disease is asymptomatic. He is now in self-isolation in his home.
At the same time, 83-year-old Berlusconi continues to work. He is the leader of the political party Forward Italy! and supports candidates in various elections, and also communicates with journalists.
Note that at the end of July, the current Prime Minister of Italy Giuseppe Conte proposed to extend the state of emergency in the country until October 15 in connection with the spread of the coronavirus.
